I am copying a message that Steve (Coot) sent out concerning the plight in the Obrien house hold. This was one of Bob's biggest concerns; how would Denise and Cami carry on without him. I often ensured him that there were too many people that loved him to allow his blood to struggle.Denise has very little support on many fronts ( just leaving it at that) and I know our dear friend would cry at the thought of this extended family stepping up and carrying his family in their time of need. We all have our own cross to bear but death has a way of opening ones eyes to our bigger purpose on this planet. We are here to love and support one another. That is what strengthens our souls. Lets lighten the load for our beloved Bob's family. It is indeed a proper way to honor the man and his legacy of love and compassion. Love and peace to all in this wonderful family!

In recent days, as Tom Dodd and I have visited with Denise it has become abundantly clear that she and Cami are in immediate financial difficulty. There is no easy way to say this other than, if it is possible, they need our help, now.

There is no amount too small. This is an immediate need beyond the amount raised several years ago for Cami's college fund.

Do what you can. Bob has given so much of himself. It is our turn now.

Send it directly to:

Denise O'Brien
541 Locust Valley Road
Greensburg, PA 15601

Thank you in advance for your kindness.

Steve & Tom, you got it. Just been getting all finances up to date so I can send out a money order Friday. ( As Bluefox suggested it doesn't take 10 days or whatever to clear, and that may be important right now.)

Thank you both for standing up for your brother while your hearts are so very heavy. Peace to you both...

Our family is pretty distressed financially at this time due to real slow work load but I do have one more Capt Skipper tye dye logo shirt in an XL size still on hand that Id like to auction on behalf of Bobo and his family. Truth be told, I was selfishly saving it for myself cause I thought it was the coolest of all the tie dyes my buddy Tom did for me in the last batch he made up. Ive chosen auction rather than a raffle due to the immediacy of the needs involved. Auction will run today, tomorow and saturday starting right now. Bidding will start at $35.00 and the Winner will be announced Sunday on this thread. the Winner will send thier check or money order directly to the address below made out to Denise O'Brien (AND NOTE ON PAYMENT IT IS FOR CAPT SHIRT AUCTION so Denise will know and can inform Buzzy or Coot it was recieved). Buzzy or Old Coot will inform me when the check is recieved and I will forward the winner thier shirt. I know my friends in the Trades sections that have these style shirts will post some pics of them for those that havent seen the shirts. Thanks for all help on this for Bobo's family

I'd recommend that Buzzy alter the thread title a bit to indicate that this auction is taking place. Some folks that didn't know or know of Bobo - or know that his name was Bob O'Brien - might not stop in here or read down far enough to see Skip's post.

Checks going out today, put a donation to The OBriens on your christmas wish list to other family members, that would bring me more joy than any gift under the tree.

Buzzy82, Please tell Denise if there is an immediate need that she can go to the nearest Salvation Army Service Center. They will help her with light bill, gas bill, house payment, food. She will need SS# and ID for all living in the house and the bill that needs to be paid.

I tried to PM this to you , but my crappy computer will not send.

I hope this will help.

WOW is right! Jim has got the throttle of this train IN HAND at $425. I just had one of my twins take a photo of the shirt. Disregard the male model wearin the shirt. The reason its my favorite of the batch is becasue the 2 main colors at some spots blend and make some blueish grey spots which replicates the original Duane shirt more. Gonna try and duplicate that on the next batch whenever we do some which will be tye dyed Henleys with the 3 buttons/no collar long sleever. Im trying to get ahold of Droogie to post some samples of this shirt. Stay posted and keep biddin. Droogie, you got a PM waitin for ya
