If you were, or are, in a band, what would play and why? Id be a percussionist not a drummer, per se. Id be surrounded by all kinds of exotic looking and sounding instruments. The primal urge to drum and create rhythms with my hands and feet calls strongly to me. Plus, Im quite happy being in the background, out of the spot-light, providing anchorage to others. And I will shine when I have my brief cow-bell solo!

OK, that is conduct unbecoming a Hayseed. You're riding on top of the truck to the Hayseed Christmas Party!

Choose your words wisely, Grasshopper. Hayseeds don't play the skin flute, meat whistle or male organ, and admitting to such is grounds for dismissal from the Hayseed corp. (I'd threaten to throw you in Clarks Hill Lake with concrete goulashes, Hayseed Mafia style, but the water is too low.)

I would want to be a vocalist like the singer for Soulfly(Max Cavalera) or Phil Anselmo from Pantera....have growling vocals and a good singing voice. Or either a Maniac Guitarist like Ted Nugent...WITHOUT all the political mumbo jumbo and the animal killing.

Massimiliano Antonio "Max" Cavalera is a Brazilian American singer/guitarist/songwriter of Italian heritage from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He was the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the metal band Sepultura, before forming Soulfly in the late 1990s. Cavalera was also involved in a short-lived side project Nailbomb. Cavalera is currently performing with Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy.

Philip Hansen Anselmo (born June 30, 1968 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is a heavy metal vocalist and musician, currently performing with Down. He is best known as a vocalist, lyricist and co-composer for Pantera, but has been involved with numerous other musical projects in heavy metal.

Played drums in '68-69, then I heard a guy named Duane play guitar.
Changed the way I thought about music. I now attempt to play guitar and frustrate myself and annoy others. My band, the Skydogs, think I'm kinda nuts anyway, and a tyrant to boot. Ahh, cest le' vie'.
Proud to be a Hayseed.
Jammin for Duane,

Yeah....and I vote for an ass whipping just to make sure.... Boy's got a long way to go, but we'll get him there

Played piano for several years... Alto sax in the middle school band....Heard johnny Winter and said "okay...Yeah", heard the ABB and said.....nothing. Couldn't catch my breath.

If I had my choice though, I would be a keyboard (B-3) player....

I play bass guitar in two part-time bands--perhaps soon to be a third.

I also mess around on six-string guitar. I played tenor sax in HS, but only well enough to stay in the marching band so I could play bass in the jazz band.

Still trying to figure it out.
