Has anyone ever stayed at the Milburn Hotel near the Beacon Theater?

Would you recommend it?

Thanks!

You also have to cross the street to get to Yogis.

Not a big deal on the way TO Yogis.

Not a good thing for the trip back.

I stayed there this yr and it was fine and pretty affordable, at least by comparison. Good location to the Beacon, 1.5 blocks away. Wireless innernets too!

To you, Keyport is within stumbling distance from Yogi's.

Your point?

I stayed there last year and overall it is better value for money than the Beacon ... unless there are a bunch of you sharing a suite.

Oteil also stayed there, as did Brian Farmer with Warren's guitars, so if it is good enough for them .....

Yes - have stayed there and would highly recommend this place. And like Colin says - don't be surprised if you end up sharing an elevator with Oteil or Brian Farmer!

Cost per night to stay there??? Thinking of getting a suite for 4 drinking buds this year instead of staying in Soho (which was awesome).

I have stayed there. I would recommend it, right around the corner from the Beacon. I think I paid $220 a night. Which isnt bad in NYC.

Brian Farmer was there when we were. We got to speak to him in the lobby. He made my son 16yrs at the time, feel pretty good. My son had his Tool shirt on, and Brian really liked it. We were there for the Mule NYE in 2003.

Seems like it was $200-225, something like that. A place to s. s. s. s. Fully functional for its purpose, convenient, much cheaper than the Beacon.

Stay ANYWHERE execpt the Beacon. After the treatment we were given last year after 9 years of staying there and dropping $2,200.00 for a weekend, they can stick it. They will not get my business again.

I've heard nice things about the Millburn. Go for it if you have the chance.

Having a tough time picking this year Beacon or Wanee??? Cost for Beacon is huge but worth it. Never been to Wanee and camping outdoors in April, swilling beer by the fire, all night music has a certain charm to it. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Have to agree. After years and years of getting a suite, I'm done with that hotel too. My quoted rate this year was over $500/nt. Mind you, this is no brand new place either.

So... I'm booked at the Belleclaire. Where are you guys going, Jacquie????

I've left Yogi's with Karen at the end of an evening and she does not stagger ... she is just swaying to the music that you can't hear
