I'm a fan of a singers with hearfelt/Soulfull voices. Someone who could sing the alphabet and make it sound good. So i'm gonna name a few off my all time faves. Then you can share some of yours.

Glenn Hughes(Trapeze, Deep Purple, Sabbath,Hughes/Thrall, Solo. - Has been my fave or in my top 3 for over 30 years. I think he sings with more feeling than anyone I have ever heard. I love his solo stuff.

David Coverdale(Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Coverdale/Page, Solo) - He has took Glenn's # 1 spot a few times. I love to hear him hit those highs and lows and he's got so much feeling...especially his early stuff and the ballads like "Soldier of Fortune". I'm not a fan of when he tried to sound like Plant...during the hair years.

Gregg Allman (ABB, Solo) - Always in my top 5...# 1 a few times...he can make you feel the pain's of love and life.

Michael Patton (Faith No More,Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, Peeping Tom, Tomahawk) - Been # 1 a few times....to me the most versatile voice in rock. He can do metal, croon a love song, or hip hop...he's also a master of sound effect noises. Love to hear him sing "I started a joke" by the BeeGee's...a great video.

James Dewar(Robin Trower) - A voice like the Hammer of the Gods...I expected him to be this giant dude...but instead he was tall and lanky. His voice "Roared" on songs like "Bridge of Sighs" and "Hannah". Hated it when he passed away.

I might name some more later.

I'd list one hundred if I really took the time to think about this.

Mike Finnigan, IMO the best white soul/blues singer even over Gregg.

Tinsley Ellis. Smoky, gutsy voice. (He has a great bass player too. Inside joke. )
