I hate to be one of those guys, but I just wanted to let the HTW family know what I've been up to for the last year or so. I wrote a book and it was picked up by PublishAmerica!

After months of editing and printing, it is finally for sale. I'm even on Amazon.com! Here's the link if you are interested:

http://www.amazon.com/Sunset-Ghawar-Struggle-Chad-Sands/dp/1604410930/ref=s r_1_1/104-8872513-9536712?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194014225&sr=8-1

Here's the publisher's website: www.publishamerica.com. Just put my name in the search box on the right side.

By the way, there is an Allman Brothers Band reference in the book....just to keep this post on message

Anyway, no one is under any obligation to buy one. I never set out to make any money doing this. I just thought it was pretty cool to see my name in print. Plus, I think it's a pretty good story!

Wow - most impressive. Now I think I know what your PM was about.

I will give in an excellent review. Well at least my review will be excellent - can't tell ya just yet what it will say about your book.

Great job.

Wow, congrats, what an accomplishment.

I've always been terrible at writing.

I remember what a struggle it was to write in 100 words or more why i shouldn't cut in line during lunch time.

Because i'm hungry, because i'm hungry, because i'm hungry...

Congratulations on achieving a goal that many aspire to but never accomplish. I can't wait to read your book.

It's great to see the other member of a certain state's literary society show her support for Chad!

Gotta give props to my state brother! And I must admit - Mr. Sands has just achieved something I've long dreamt of doing! Feels good to see that dreams do come true (if you follow them and work at it! )

By the way, on the inside sleeve, did you use a pic, or your avatar?

I do like that avatar of yours, reminds me Gov. Arnold shaving.

Congrats. That's still an great accomplishment.

A buddy of mine toiled over two novels that were eventually rejected again and again before he simply gave up.

Hope it all works out for you.

Yo Chad, congrats on the new book. Not an easy thing to do, and you avoided the POD-subsidy route which is cool. Good job.

Thanks, Derek. I wanted to stay away from print on demand and PublishAmerica made the investment to publish/print it which was cool...

Thanks for the kind words Kenny and Rainy - it's much appreciated!
