What is this new venue in New York City? I understand
it's about Beacon-size. Where exactly is it? Is it new or
a renovated building? Any chance of the Beacon run being
moved there?

You may want to see recent threads on this topic for more info.

It is similar to the Beacon, but is cleaner and in better condition. It is located at Broadway and 175th st. I would love to see the ABB there if the Beacon is no longer an option.

Beautiful place.

Looks to be a beautiful place. Located in Washington Heights/Inwood area of Manhatten

I was there last night to see the black crowes....the place is very nice...if it was located where the beacon is it would be great....the problem for me is the location...kind of a pain for me to get to and fro the place..especially after the show....i live in midtown on the east side and it is a hassle....

I talked to a couple of friends who saw the Black Crowes there last night. They said it was a nice theatre, but entirely too far from everything. It's way uptown, past Harlem. I was told the place is very stuffy, there is nothing to do (bar or restaurant wise) in the vicinity and security was sort of a pain in the ass. We don't need a place like that killing the vibes at an Allman show.

Also, only wine and beer sold for those who like the hard stuff.

I was there for the Crowes too, and I have the same thing to say. I actually had to leave early to make my last train.

The sound wasn't nearly as great (mainly for the vocals) as the Beacon.
