Mississippi Queen - Mountain
Why Dontcha - West, Bruce and Lang

As far as heavy stuff goes, Leslie West is way up there! I think he's Warren's illegitimate pappy!

It's funny to see what some folk's conceptions of "hard rock" are. Some of the tunes above I would place firmly in the "metal" category, while others I would call "classic rock," but not that "hard." I'm not saying anyone is wrong, or that their opinions aren't valid . . . it's just interesting to me to see different frames of references.

Here are a few I like quite a bit:

BTO - Takin' Care of Business
AC/DC - Whole Lotta Rosie
Lots of Deep Purple - Speed King has always been a favorite.
And, while it's been played to death by "classic rock" stations, Sweet Emotion has been a favorite since my pre-teen days.

Eagles -- Midnight Flyer (same as above)
Judas Priest -- Freewheel Burning (live version)
Van Halen -- Source of Infection
Cactus -- Parchman Farm (also Atlanta Pop version)
Montrose -- Rock The Nation
Johnny Winter And -- Mean Town Blues

And I have to give a nod to Jimi Hendrix' Voodoo Chile.... the Stevie Ray Vaughan way!
