With all the hype about Russel Crowe's new cowboy flick, I think it would be cool to see Dickey have a part in a western.

Dickey has proven he can do it. It was before your time, Hai , but Dickey was quite successful as a modern-day Western sheriff set loose in the city in a TV series called McCloud.

Thats it Peter !!! Loved that show.
I had to have one of those coats McCloud wore around ...you know what, I may have to go try to find one again now to match my Texas cowboy sneakers.

Actually, Billy may have resembled Dickey in appearance for that movie, but it was mostly Gregg he was playing.

That's supposedly from the lips of Robert Plant who young Mr.Crowe spent some road time with.

Dickey as an outlaw with a posse after him, when he runs into Chuck Norris communing with ancient Indian spirits. Dickey has this fax with a chain handcuffed to him and Chuck helps him. Dickey throws the fax at the posse as they are coming up the mountain to apprehend him and the posse turns around and heads back down to the summit to rethink their gameplan. Chuck looks at him and tells him, there's no need for that, we could have taken care of a whole batallion......then Dickey gets all misty and says 'but I still love those guys....'

The only question I have is will he outlive Willie Nelson so he can play him in obligatory, post mortem, Willie Nelson movie?

Never liked Val Kilmer, but as Doc he was awesome.

Yeah, he was good as Doc, but I also liked Dennis Quaid as Doc in Wyatt Earp.
