All 3 of them, along with Entourage, Family Guy, and Reno 911 make up my favorite shows on TV

I love how Colbert managed to create a show whose premise is exactly the same as Stewart's, but yet the show is different enough that I want to watch both. Unfortunately, we don't get those here in Spain, so I'll have to wait til I get back home in December to catch up on the two best news shows on TV.

As for Curb Your Enthusiasm, is it true that it's really not scripted? I've heard that just the main plot points are written out, and that all of the actors just improvise around those.

curb really is the best. i purchased the big book of curb your enthusiasm recently and yes...the entire show is improv. the only thing is that before each scene larry tells the people in the scene what the "plot" is supposed to be then...action! which makes sense because in many of the scenes you blatantly see larry laughing at suzie when she yells at him or when he has arguements with richard and/or jeff. hell, jeff even laughs and he's actually an actor.

Curb, Entourage, The Office, Daily Show are my favorites. I don't watch that much TV but I find time for these every couple weeks.

My favorite shows airing new episodes are:

Curb Your Enthusiasm
Entourage
Flight of the Conchords
The Simpsons
Family Guy
American Dad
South Park
24

And I somewhat like The Office, but have only seen the most recent episode

Last week's The Office opener was not particularly strong. Would have been better at 30 minutes. The scene where he tries to put the balloons around the IV at the hospital and yanks it out was pretty funny though. Good moments, but give it another chance...

I think Curb is fabulous. I do not have HBO, so I wait until the DVDs are available. I have no interest in Stewart or Colbert, that is just me. Other shows I like, but they are not on the comedy side are Rescue ME, The Shield, and Damages. Damages is current right now and Glenn Close and Ted Danson are just on top of their games in this thrill ride of a show. Really creepy stuff. If you have not been following it since it started, wait until it comes out on DVD. One of those series where you need to start with ep. 1

I love Entourage, Curb and even John From Cincy had some great moments, esp Ed O'Neill. South Park can be great, as can Daily Show. Not a Colbert fan, but after reading here will try it again. Don't love Curb, but was a Seinfeld groupie.

Two not mentioned here that I love - House and Boston Legal. If you haven't seen Boston Legal, imagine LA Law with a great sense of humor. Please don't dismiss it because William Shatner's in it...it is downright, laugh out loud, funny.
