friends,

i am still glowing over the 4-8-08 beacon show. man, what a show.

the reason i really love the ABB comes from that show. I have never really been a fan of No One Left To Run With. thought it was a nice little tune, but nothing special.

on 4-8-08, and i'm sure a few times before and after that show, they have played an extended version of it. and they really, really hit the note on it. derek takes that E chord and makes magic, and then warren takes a three cord progression and slams it home.

a song that used to be kind of a let down for me is now my favorite song in their repetiore. i have listened to that verison over and over and it gets better every time.

long live the ABB>

sully - are you living in a different time dimension???? Only asking because here because where I'm at we haven't yet gotten to 4/8/08. (but I totally agree with your assessment of this band - love'em, love'em, love'em!!! )

Did you travel into the future? I'm sure you mean the 4/8/07 show. That was my favorite ABB show of all time.

i love ABB cause they broke the mold of the same old crap. they took chances & it paid off. i love ever lineup of the band that's been did. i love ever song they ever did, some more than other'n's but i love em all. i can't come up with another band that is toughed it out no better'n than ABB is. they like a timex, they take a lickin & keep on tickin. the music they do is MUSIC, not a bunch of senseless, useless, pickin & screamin. when a child under the age of 10 can get the music you listen to,,,,,,,it's worth it ever bit of the time & money it's took to get that music. miss thang 'got' this music from the git go and that makes it all worth it to me...........................we just love ABB in my house

I love the Allman Brothers Band!!! They have their own sound and are all outstanding musicians in their own right. It was truly awesome to see them at the Beacon. Nobody sings like Gregg. He is it. I never tire of their music and never have. My husband had Allman Brothers albums back in the early 70's and he really loved the Band back then and still does. That's where I first heard the ABB's music. I listen to some of their music everyday. They are absolutely the best band now and then and ever!!!
