Today someone gave me a dvd of the ABB from the Fillmore 1970, no specific date. The story is it was a guy with one of the first video cameras, a heavy hand held camera. The footage is very shaky but it's the Brothers doing 12 minutes and 53 seconds of Mountain Jam. It put a smile on my face! He says there is more.

Does anyone know if I have stumbled upon something here or has this been around? I have never seen this footage anywhere.

Hey, wonder if he was borrowing John Carpenter's camera..

seriously, sounds pretty cool. i'm sure someone will chime in here about how rare it is.

Are you sure it's Mountain Jam at Fillmore East? Probably if it's Fillmore East, it will turn out to be the 9/23/70 video which contains this setlist:

DON'T KEEP ME WONDERING
DREAMS
IN MEMORY OF ELIZABETH REED

It's not 9/23. It's not a pro shot.

Looks like early 1970. I played the audio for Clay over the phone and he does not even recognize the audio. By describing how the band looked, he dated it for me. As with anything like this it's sort of wait and see what we come up with.

New footage of Duane would be so cool...one way I tell the dates from photos are by the guitar he's playing, and the strap he wears. Zebo made his straps, and we basically know when he recieved each one.
Please add me to the list of droolers!

Not either one of those.

Black and white, Mountain Jam. Dickey has shorter hair, Berry's hair is not so straight. The video is not so good at showing details though.

Sounds very cool then And a lot can be done to improve quality Well done maybe we should start a "putting adds in the press" fund to see if there's any more out there - thinking of the 9-16-71 story

A couple of months ago I found some footage of the ABB at the Volunteer Jam which I vined. In that footage you can clearly see another camera man filming as well. Lord only knows what old film is still owned by people that don't realize what they have. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
