Hi everyone! Newbie here! So what is everyone's favorite romantic song....the one that reminds you of the love of your life or even a forbidden love...the one you regret letting get away? Who was it, (first names only!), how old were you and do you wish you could have contact one more time with him/her? Or, did you marry that person????

Nothing like snuggling up, a little cheese, candle light, and the CD playing.

with that special rodent.

Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own
I'll never be alone
And you, my friend, will see
You've got a friend in me
(you've got a friend in me)

Ben, you're always running here and there
You feel you're not wanted anywhere
If you ever look behind
And don't like what you find
There's one thing you should know
You've got a place to go
(you've got a place to go)

I used to say "I" and "me"
Now it's "us", now it's "we"
I used to say "I" and "me"
Now it's "us", now it's "we"
Ben, most people would turn you away
I don't listen to a word they say
They don't see you as I do
I wish they would try to
I'm sure they'd think again
If they had a friend like Ben
(a friend) Like Ben
(like Ben) Like Ben

"Anything Goes" by Guns N Roses

I been thinkin' 'bout
Thinkin' 'bout sex
Always hungry for somethin'
That I haven't had yet
Maybe baby you got somethin' to lose
Well I got somethin',
I got somethin' for you

My way-your way
Anything goes tonight
My way-your way
Anything goes

Panties 'round your knees
With your ass in debris
Doin' dat grind
with a push and squeeze
Tied up, tied down,
up against the wall
Be my rubbermade baby
An' we can do it all

My way-your way
Anything goes tonight

Damn.... Here I was thinking this thread might lead to some Oldies but Goodies.

I Think we are all agreed that Ben should be #1. That being said, How about:

" At Last"...Etta James

" Wicked Game"... Chris Isaak

Some songs that I find romantic...

Avalon and Slave to Love - Roxy Music
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton
At Last - Etta James
A Song For You - Leon Russell
Samba Pa Ti - Santana (actually there are a few by Santana that come to mind)
Let's Get It On - Marvin Gaye (hmmm - can think of a couple more Marvin songs, too)
Great Gig In The Sky - Pink Floyd and Clare Torrey

Welcome LadyPeach!!!

The first that comes to mind is "When A Man Loves A Women" sung by Gregg
I wish he would add that to his set lists for Gregg Allman and Friends upcoming shows.

Norah Jones' rendition of the Townes van Zandt classic "Be Here To Love Me". I could listen to that woman sing eternally.

Queensryche "I Don't Believe in Love"

I awoke on impact
Under surveillance from the camera eye
Searching high and low
The criminal mind found at the scene of the crime
Handcuffed and blind, I didn't do it
She said she loved me
I guess I never knew
But do we ever, ever really know?
She said she'd meet me on the other side
But I knew right then, I'd never find her

I don't believe in love
I never have, I never will
I don't believe in love
It's never worth the pain that you feel

No more nightmares, I've seen them all
From the day I was born, they've haunted my every move
Every open hand's there to push and shove
No time for love it doesn't matter
She made a difference
I guess she had a way
Of making every night seem bright as day
Now I walk in shadows, never see the light
She must have lied 'cause she never said goodbye

I don't believe in love
I never have, I never will
I don't believe in love
I'll just pretend she never was real
I don't believe in lovev I need to forget her face, I see it still
I don't believe in love
It's never worth the pain that you feel

No chance for contact
There's no raison d'etre
My only hope is one day I'll forget
The pain of knowing what can never be
With or without love it's all the same to me

I don't believe in love
I never have, I never will
I don't believe in love
I'll just pretend she never was real
I don't believe in love
I need to forget her face, I see it still
I don't believe in love
It's never worth the pain that you feel
