Since we have the Spandau Ballet and Culture Club going, what other worthless bands from the 80's shall we address?

Who remembers these:

Animotion
Yaz
Haircut 100
English Beat
Modern English
Dead or Alive
Berlin
Dexy's Midnight Runners
Missing Persons
The Human League

Runner up: The Jackson's with Mick Jagger "State of Shock"

Thank God for Stevie Ray Vaughn!

The English Beat was a good band, ska or reggae influenced. I'd like to add Men w/o Hats (S,A,F,E,T,Y) and Flock of Seagulls (I Ran).

I remember around 1986 thinking there would never be a new American band again and perhaps never a guitar based band.

Man this list could be huge!!! IMO The 80's sucked for tunes!!! Not until Guns and Roses came along was it even worthwhile to listen to FM. G&R and the Cult woke radio execs out of a huge slumber. hard to say but thanks Axel

Here's a couple more for the list
Frankie goes to Hollywood
Bronskie Beat
The Smiths
Thompson Twins
Hughie Lewis
Heart (of the 80's)
Any Hair Metal Band including, Ratt, Cinderalla, Poison
That band that sang, Shout Shout let it all out, tears for fears
Cyndi Lobster
Madonna
holy this could take a while...
Brian Adams
Loverboy
Michael Jackson
David Bowie (of the 80's)
Eurythmics
Glenn Fry
Don Henly
Kiss
Hall and Oates
Go-Gos

Holy getting tired

The 80's were about two things for me and neither one was the music.

I still have to listen to Come On Eileen whenever I run across it.

I also love this terribly '80s song called You Don't Want Me Anymore by Steel Breeze. I'm always impressed when someone even remembers the song.
