I've been speculating since they whipped out both "Southern Man" and "Rockin' In The Free World" this month that there may be some sort of Neil Young theme.... maybe with Neil or CSN there

No - they are not posting ANY information about the NYE shows. I'm not sure whats up...

I will say I believe the Winter of Love theme was chosen because this is the 40th anniversary of the "Summer of Love" in SF - so I bet we get a full flower power set with a bunch of dead and other hippie tunes - should be awesome!

Hallelujah !!!!!! All these years getting crappy seats and I finally get rewarded. ORCH Row CC seats 5-7. I hope the sound is good in these seats and I might go deaf, but I will be spending 3 nights including NYE sitting about 10 feet away from Mr. Warren Haynes. It's gonna be an awesome end to 2007 !!!!!

I too did very well, row BB. Center section is like a dream. Never ever got that before. Hard Head did good for us again this year. That's for sure.

I got lucky as well. I'm loving my seats! Third row center - Row CC - right in front of Warren for all three nights. I'm so pumped. The Winter of Love takeoff of The Summer of Love is a great idea. I would guess a real stoney 60's stage setup for the midnight set with random 60's covers throughout the set. Last year was fun, but I thought it wasn't nearly as fun and tight as the Mule a go-go the year before. I think this year will be a classic. So many opportunities to play with the Summer of Love theme. I can't wait. Does Warren and the rest of the band dress up fully as hippies circa '67? That would be my call. Full out hippie garb. Either way, judging by the last two years, this year will be a great time had by all!

So what do you guys think they will play?

To Sir With Love by Lulu was a big hit. So was Don't Sleep In The Subway by Petula Clark.

I think those might make a good theme. :-)

All 3 nights, BB Seats 9-11. Hopefully I'll be able to make it home for the first night.

I wonder what special guests will appear on NYE. Anyone is possible given the Mule's track record , except Betts & Clapton .Even if welcome Dickey will be busy @ BB King's & Clapton doesn't come to the Beacon.

Phil Lesh? Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Cassady? All I associate with the Summer of Love.

I would say Lesh, Weir, Jorma, and Cassidy are all great possibilities. Perhaps Jorma and Cassidy and we will get some good old Jefferson Airpline - Warren belting out a little white Rabbit!??! That would be awesome..

Phil, Bob & Jorma all appear to have open dates. Jack's site couldn't access.
