Tell me to shut up if you want, I won't take it personally ...

Am I the only one who's tired of seeing "BnP for 12, 1 Free, Son of Godzilla Thread to End ALL Threads" & "B&P for 5 (The 1st one is FREE)" every time I check out the trades page????

Seems more appropriate for "anything goes" or even the "whipping post." Maybe there are trades/b&p's buried in there somewhere? I don't know. Looks like it's all about page turns and increasing post totals to me.

Legitimate trade/b&p posts are getting bumped down by these threads.

Fire away ...

Tax man here to collect, point well taken.

I am a regular at each, and I get it, some people do, some don't , I love these United States of America and feel that every man is entitled to his opinion.

But you never know there may be gold in them there hills, I just don't know.Left and found quite a few nuggets there myself- and burnt a few outback.

I still love you brother, PM on the way.

Don't get me wrong folks. I'm not advocating censorship here. Just wondering if these types of threads are appropriate in the "trades" forum.

Freebies are closed. Seebs your #4 but you're in too. That post deserves a show!

Where would you suggest that a B&P for 5 start? KC Jimmy had no harmful intentions when he made things so confusing that a couple of people couldn't figure it out until it was a couple pages long.

The lounge on the other hand is the spillover from the B&P for 5, the new and improved for 12, was designed as a place for newbies to get to know the ropes without extensive trading, as well as.I enjoy the fellowship, and as far as # of post, that's just too trivial, except Marley, he's for real.I think the # of post thing should be wiped out, or put on your profile page so if you care about stuff like that, its accessible.

I can see your point too.Don't agree, but I can feel ya.

I personally have buried a ton of shows in there as I'm sure many will attest.AG or WP might be considered a better place, but you'll never find I'm right/you're wrong socio-political bull **** bickering at KCJimmy.

Just a nice friendly get to know you thing.Peace, bro and stop in sometime! Some of my best trading buds have been made under the guise of KCJimmy.

As the author of the Godzilla thread, I'd like to point out that we do still offer music on this thread. Yes, we may have too much fun turning pages, and some people have gone a little overboard with machine gun posts.

That being said, if it wasn't for KCJimmy's original B&P, I never would have felt so comfortable to interact with others here. As a result of The Mother Thread, I get quite a few shows from Arizona that I offer up immediately. Most are "out in the open" like yesterday's Cow Palace Special Edition. As was pointed out, every now and then, Skip offers freebies of his latest work on the Mother Thread for those who still drop by. I can't post there because it's so big, and the same is starting to happen at The Godzilla. The whole point is we are having fun, easing new folks into trading. Without a little friendliness, this can be intimidating for people just logging on here with nothing to trade.

If you read page one of Godzilla, you'll see that there are STILL SHOWS OPEN! I don't put time limits on them. I certainly don't want to hang around the GB. Or AG, where more deep, political crap is discussed. It's just not fun. I try to make sure we keep offers going at "The Lounge". And I'll be damned if I can't say "Good Morning Pam" on a page if it's in the "Trades" section.

Here's to everyone's opinion! Bar's open, I got a golf game to get to.

Great feedback,

I think I need to start checking in once in a while.

Can we agree that this would not even be an issue if the page turning & posting for the sake of posting did not occur?

231 pages, I rest my case.

(and will shutup now)

A little perspective from a relative newcomer. The Godzilla thread is is just a friendly enjoyable place to check out. I don't post a lot but check in often to enjoy the banter and good vibe. The people that hang out there seem like a great friendly bunch, best on the site. The machine gun posts do seem silly, but hey, I can scroll through those no problem. It just seems like a nice friendly place with a great vibe. While I do understand the complaint, I think the positives far outweigh any negatives. As for music, it is being offered and traded, thanks to a number of great friendly folks. Hey I got my very first show there, thanks to Ron, and have gotten a few others thanks to all the great people that frequent that little corner of the site.

It's all in fun. I like the idea of hiding the number of posts. They don't have a number of posts section at the http://www.fenderforum.com , and it is a very cool place to visit. They are generally a very open minded and fun group of folks. Just don't talk about tube amps vs. digital amps.

Dudes! Are we harshing JCB's mellow or what?

I've stated my feelings about page turns in the NutCaseLounge.

IMHO Page turns=Suck. They differ per user - my page holds 50 messages. Some hold less, some more. Check out your profile and you'll see that the glee you generate over creating an additional page is merely creating additional entries in poor ole Rowlands Database and forcing hardware updates and creating a huge database full of BS.

However, I do know one thing and that this site is for whatever makes you feel good. Say whatever the hell you want, whenever you want to - and how often you want. PhotoRonnie apparently likes his godzilla thing. If it makes him feel good, I will completely support his endeavor, and patience. Feeling good is good enough for me. Besides, half of that stuff is pretty Effen Funny.

That thread outgrew my browser several days ago but is quite amusing (as are the Cellar and the MT thread). I could drink a whole glass of wine waiting for it each of those threads to load and, god forbid if i replied i'd be going through a case of wine a night. (and let's not even bring amount the amount of ezwiders...)

With regard to the Godzilla placment, keep in mind that Godzilla thread is a ripe trade tree open for picking! I still have an AWESOME Mule show hidden in it that no one has taken. you'll have to go through 50 pages to find it, but still....

If you get annoyed seeing it don't look at it. How hard is it not to go into a thread?

IT MUST BE HARDER THAN YOU THINK IF YOUR IN THIS ONE!!! hahahahahahaha lmao

For an ironic twist of fate i vote for making this the thread become the one that JCB gets tired of seeing every time he checks out the trades page....

P.S. I Like Tattoo Neil a few posts ahead of me....in his best Towlie from Southpark voice...."I have no idea what's going on...."

Sure, I definitely give two thumbs up to the whole godzilla concept, hidden B&P's, etc... very cool... I just don't post there. And I don't read there very often. Strictly a time thing for me.

OK. And, BTW, who said anything here had to make any sense. That is one of the things I like about this part of the forum. We don't have to be too serious about anything. I have a job, and a family that fulfill that role. I just like to let off some steam.
