I've only been here since last December, and there are already way too many thanks to list.

This board is populated by some of the kindest and most generous people you'll find, and their endless sharing of music brings a smile to my face every time I log-in to the boards or pop-in one of their discs.

Thanks to you all, and I can't wait to meet many of you this summer.

If I start to reply, I'm gonna leave people out and feel terrible. If I had to narrow it down, it would go this way:

KCJimmy-for starting the "come out of your shell and converse with all us" thread, even if it was by accident.

Jim Benjamin-another active trader/poster at the previously mentioned hangout.

Clay-for all he's done, incuding my only videos. I hope to soon offer some video B&P's from those tapes.

Pam-for the constant upbeat, never-say-die, ongoing goodness and positive vibes she brings here.

Capt. Skipper-my friend from the great Southwest. Flyer fan extraordinaire, who sends such nice goodies, always personalized. Including one I got today, complete with an "in joke" on the artwork! (Keep your eyes open folks, you may see a very special offer soon.)

Yurtle-prolly one of my most active trading partners, along with Stone, Bigeasy, Fast43, Sandman, ffisher, royster, Phillybob, and the rest of our KCJimmy II staff and patrons.

I know I forgot people, and I do apologize. I think one of my first shows was from a brendan, who I don't believe is active here anymore. And Santacruzblues, who needs to come by more often. And Carlos, who doesn't get pissed when I pick on him, he knows it's all in good fun. And Kenny, Gene, and new folks (here) like Linnie, CanPeach, Raven.

Maybe what they said about long term memory is true. Then again, what did they say? And who are they?

Who own da Chiefs?

I'm relatively new at this too. I'd like to thank the following generous folks for freebies they've given me in the past: OldDirtRoad, Sandman, PhotoRon286, Carlos, and BigSixPeachHead (from the Dickey board) - to me, that's the ultimate in generousity...sending discs to someone in another country you don't know, and for nothing in return. Big thanks to you all!

I'd also like to thank Bird72 for giving me my first trade when I arrived at this board. Great bnch!

How could I forget Sandman, after he sent that Lonnie Brooks show last week. Sorry Chad

Hi Raven and BumBum

I got a dumb question.......when you send a package to the US from your respective countries.....are you required to use a custom's form and what weight triggers it? The reason I ask is that my local post requires me to use the form whenever I send a package using one of the bubble wrap envelopes, but often I get materials from overseas which do not include the customs form.

Tim, have you checked out the Hogweeds.....just got FADE04-the 21 April 74 Montreal show.......ooooooh la la, what a masterful cleanup of the radio show.....great depth, and clarity......Skip, oh, Capt Skip, the Aussies and Brits are starting to get your audio secrets

Cheers

Carlos

ps-Raven, I haven't forgot, just a little slow on the uptakes

I think it depends on the postal clerk. I sent one today to Holland and didn't fill out anything. But I've sent NZ and had to. Go figure

Hey - I'm glad to pass music along to others, but the appreciation is good for the olde self-esteem, too. If you are reading this, then I most likely owe a thanks to you. If you're a regular here, I definitely do...so, THANKS!

I've never B&Ped or traded with him, personally, but a special thanks to our good Cap'm. It's wonderful to be able to appreciate the old stuff from before my day.

Where to start, I guess most of all I need to thank Pammie Moondrops, if it weren't for her at the DTB site I would have never done more than read the home page & check tour dates here at abb.com. Never did I know what lurked in the trading basement.

Next I would like to thank Dean Long, better known as Sounthernman, he did my first B&P for me, it was a Toy Caldwell show(incomplete, btw), one of my hometown boys.I didn't know proper ettiquitte for a B&P package, but good old Dean sure let me know I got it wrong, I even think he used the F word.

http://www.mcnichol.com/bnp/default.htm

Captain Skipper goes without saying.

Clay Pelland, nuff said.

Jim Benjamin, Probably the biggest influence on my cd changer selections, all the dTb that I listen to regularly, I got from him, as well as many other good shows.( I'm looking forward to about 20 right now.) Jim also taught me how to be a good trader- communication is essiental for a trade of more than a few shows, punctuality is the rule, not the exception.

Ron Laxton, for the cool job down at the KC Lounge, and all the cool trades, especially the one I'm fixin' to spring on him this week.Even though I don't get hockey, or racing, or golf, we still seem to have a good time either way.

Kenny Babb, ODR, has taught me that the best part about gettin' mail is openin' a package from a B&P or T1L1, and the show he through in as a freebie is 10 X better than the show you were getting in the first place.

Stephanie Poe,EJ, although she and I have only limited music trades, her sense of humor and wit have brightened my day on many occasions.

Don Maynard, Icepick, Not a constant around here -he comes and goes, but he is resopnsible for my recieving my most life changing show(5-1-96, 5th row). And I have to admit I messed that one up, but he came back for another trade, so I guess I'm not to bad of a crackhead.

Jereman Champeaux, Finky Poo poo, He is the 1 the sunk the hook in me and twisted it. I was inquiring about a B&P / trade, and didn't have squat, he took a show or two, and did a B&P for 10 or so , I think I was expecting 15 disc total. He was moving cross country and was unable to burn 1 on the 5 shows we had aggreed to initally,so he sent me about 50 CD.s that he didn't listen to much.P&F, SCI, steve Kimock, eagles, Jeff beck, rolling stones--It's All Good. Jereman is the man.

KC Jimmy for the monster he created.

Carlos"new middle name everytime" rivera, for all the trvial music knowledge he holds, and all the disco stories he tells that I can laugh at to his face.

Dbhelm, Finsky,bumba,fast43,TP,Royster,Quinn, raven, Sandman , bobkaufman ,canpeach,BigEasy,et al.

I know I,ve gotten tons of shows from tons of people, too many to name. You all know who you are and you all know that I appreciate it and will share the Tunes.

Finally, I would like to thank Rowland and Lana, without there hard work NONE of this would be possible. And to Bobo, who has taught me that life is GOOD.

Great thread! Thanks to the usual suspects that have been mentioned many times in this thread. I won't list anyone, because for every person I'd thank, I'd be forgetting 15 more....I'd hate to do that Anyway thanks to everyone on this site for all the trades, BnPs, freebies and just plain kindness you have given to not just me, but everyone here....your kindness is catching! And for the folks thanking me: you're very welcome - there's more to come...

OK, I lied...I'm going to thank Phillybob for starting me off on the right foot...and Rowland and Lana for giving us a great place to do what we all love to do Keep spreading those tunes!

I want to thank a guy named Chris Schild from Switzerland. Many years ago I was foolishly bidding on shows from those creeps on EBay. He emailed me and let me know that many ABB shows were widely traded and sent me about ten shows. It has been all downhill from there.

Carlos - with the exception of one occaision, I have always had to fill out the customs declaration form when mailing out cd's - anything that is a "package" or larger than regular letter-mail is supposed to be declared (that's how it was explained to me).

I've been hoping FADE004 would be getting weeded soon. I've set up my HW & FADE groups to "digest" mode, and haven't been really keeping up much....things are scary busy here at work, so when I get a few minutes I usually come here!

FADE004 & HW12 are on my "to get" list, but with everything going on, and the fact that I'll be away at a conference/mini-vacation next week (Las Vegas), I didn't want to commit to any weeds/trades right now. I'm sure they'll be floating around for awhile! Tahnks for the heads-up about FADE004 - i hadn't heard any comments about it - nice to hear the quality is great for that show.

Take it easy,
Tim

I can't even begin to list here. Thanks to everyone who does any kind of trading, B&P's, Freebies and "just because surprises" with me. I offer up shows whenever I can around here and keep the music flowing around.
Special thanks to Skip, Clay, Goliath and Jim B who send me the tunes regularly and wont take anything in return.
Thanks to you all for sharing with me the joy of music!
