Hi everyone, I'm new here. I've been lingering. Nice to meet you and I hope I'm not getting off on the wrong foot, so please excuse this slightly obscure question, but I heard Bob Weir stopped "Terrapin Station" during the PA show on 8/18 to say "excuse me but I farted". I don't believe it, but I had a couple people INSIST it is true!

Of course, I wasn't there.

My PA show was 8/15, and 8.19 was Darien.

Bob stopped Terrapin then and I think he said "Dickey is over rated".

But I can't be sure.

Terrapin flowed so well, that there was NO WAY that Bobby interrupted the song. It was beautifully done, then the next night they did part II.

But that is kinda funny......

________________________________________________________________________I was there and I definitely don't remember that. That's not to say it didn't happen though. I was way back on the lawn and I wasn't in an entirely perceptive frame of mind if you catch my drift. My main memory of that show was that it was pretty crappy. The setlist was a nightmare and the playing was not great outside of some great work by Jimmy during Dark Star. The sound on the lawn was god awful and it only got worse when a speaker blew midway. The highlight by far was Warren singing a beautiful Stella Blue, though I remember a fun Cassidy and a sloppy but enjoyable Cosmic Charley too. I'd really love to hear a copy of this show to jog my hazy memory.

Weir has a long and colored history of doing very stupid things on stage.

I have music friends in the Bay Area that have played with him recently several times and they report it is usually a very strange and not so impressive experience at all.

That is false, listening to the tapes after the show, that is total BS, who thinks of this BS anyway?

Mr. Betts may be alot of things but over rated is certainly not one of them.

I was at this show. I can't say 100% for sure, but to the best of my knowledge the only passing of gas going on that I was witness to was when someone shared a balloon with me after the show when I was trying to find my car!
