The band will be in Piedmont Park in the not too distant future, so settle on in and enjoy!

Welcome to GA. The Piedmont Park show on 9-8 is sold out but you might come on down anyway and there might be a ticket on the street or maybe you could hear it outside the enclosure. Gregg Allman & Friends at Atlanta's Chastain Park on 10-13. Check for tix, may not be sold out.

I'm originally from Massachusetts, about twenty miles South of Great Woods (or whatever they call it nowadays) lived for about ten years in NYC, and then came to Georgia. Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. It's nice to be around like-minded folks. I've been a fan of the Allman Bros. since high school days, which is...uh...quite some time ago. I think my first show was 1974 or so...it's kind of fuzzy now, hehe, those were different times...

Thanks again

Welcome aboard. Where in Georgia? Make plans for GABBA, first weekend in October.
You can meet some of us, if you like--and vice-versa. Met some folks from Mass. in my little town last week that traveled for music....you will find friends quickly here.

Be sure to check out Atlanta band Blueground Undergrass next time they play at home.
Check out Col Bruce Hampton at Smith's with several other bands like Bonobos Convergence (Vaylor Trucks) and Tony Tyler Trance the night of the ABB Piedmont Park show at Smith's. There is also a pre-concert show the night before and I think there is a seperate thread for that too. Miss Terry can you help here? I forget who, what, when. where and how for that show.

I'm in Lawrenceville, NE of the city. What is GABBA? I'd be real happy to meet some folks, as I've met very few since arriving. Fairly suburban in these parts, the usual malls etc. I do have a very cool record store close by though. Been to "town" a few times for recon, located Smith's and some spots around L5P, also a nice bar/restuarant in Decatur. Definintely need to get out some. Thanks again for all the warm welcomes.
