We all need it bad...........our lake levels are terribly low.

maybe if we all play the song off Dickeys Highway Call album at the same time, "Rain Rain Rain", maybe we can make it pour.

Anybody know any good raindancers........

What we in GA need is the remnants of a huricane. In the words of our beloved leader, "bring it on".

It's been a week since we had some decent rain. The chain of lakes here in Winter Haven are down so low, that my tournament bassfishing series is moving this years Classic to Lake Kissimmee.
Feel sorry for the folks out in Texas, they've been getting more than their fair share of rain.

I see this old post popped back to the top. Still no rain here to speak of since my original post.
All lake levels are critically low. The town of Belmont NC has a pipe opening they draw water for the town and its now just about 2 feet below the surface. Its normally 20 ft below the surface. We need it bad. The folks that live on the river have their docks sitting on the ground. Grass is even growing along the banks. All the boat ramps are closed too.

John, not much here since Mid-Aug either. They say Atlanta will run out of drinking water in approx 3 mos, w/ a warm and dry winter expected. I think we may have to re-fight the Civil War if the Corps of Engineers keeps releasing water from Lake Lanier.

The garden centers keep sending me ridiculous offers, but hell, we can't water. Wife said someone at work told her if they catch you watering they'll shut it off and it will cost you a thousand to get it back on. Time to seed the clouds or something. Saw pictures of Lake Lanier and Alatoona, it was depressing as hell.

Man, here in southern Spain we've gotten lots of rain recently - and all of my teachers here have told us that "it never rains like this" and "we haven't had this much rain in the past 10 years"...

I hope yall get some rain back home in the south!

In case you had not heard, our GA drought is over! 12 inches since yesterday, about 1/4 of our annual average.

Hi Brock, Susan and I were up near Blowing Rock this weekend camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Brother, the rain never quit Saturday night. It poured. When breaking camp Sunday we just rolled everything up in a tarp and sorted it all out when we got home. We hosed mud off everything. Glad to see your drought is over. Hopefully all your lakes will return to full pond after all the rain you folks got. I bet you have your canoe sitting on go......

John, I think if you would't have caught so many fish the lake levels would still be up.
