Even though I'm certainly not suprised the Bush white house would hide something from the American people! I AM suprised to hear he has 11 doctors doing his physical!!
As ONE of the 50 million Americans without health care,I wish I could see just one doctor to check my health.
Of course I also believe if the disease don't kill ya',the doctor will!!!

Physical reveals President Bush treated for Lyme disease last August
AP ^ | 08 Aug 2007 | AP

Today's White House report on President Bush's latest physical is revealing for the first time that he was successfully treated for Lyme disease last year.

The president's encounter with the disease hadn't been made public until now.

The exam says he was treated for "early, localized Lyme disease" last August after developing a bull's-eye rash characteristic of the disease. The condition didn't recur.

Lyme disease is a common-tick borne infection that can spread to the joints, heart and nervous system if left untreated. The CDC says the disease can be treated with a few weeks of antibiotics.

As for the latest physicial, each of the eleven doctors involved in the exam have pronounced the president fit for duty.

This doesnt have any thing to do with how many docs the pres has workin on him. But, I'll tell the you the reason medicine is so expensive. Hell, everytime you turn on the TV its either a car dealership commercial, or a fast food commercial, or a medicine commercial. Those commercials are not cheap. Why do they advertise anyway. If it works , the doctors should prescribe it.

That is one thing that is wrong with healthcare today. We all sit at home, see a medicine commercial come on. We say or think, hell I need to try that, or I need to try this. It use to be you went to the Doctor and he or she told you what was wrong with you. I am going to prescribe you this. Now the doctor has a questionaire to fill out, so bascially your telling him what is wrong with you. Then we asked for the stuff we saw on TV. I want the doctor to prescribe something I cant pronounce must less something I have seen on TV.......

I went 4-5 years without insurance and never went to the doctor. I am blessed to have it now. I feel for the folks that dont have insurance. Its bassakwards, nobody should be turned away due to their health. Everyone should be able to get checked out preventative wise.
I worry everyday about my grown kids. They dont have insurance. Its very scary..........

At one time in our country's history did the government ever give away free health care? I'll be honest, I don't think it has ever happened and it shouldn't now. i too was without health care for some time but I now have a full time job with very good benefits. Try to get into a hospital in another country.....good luck. At least in this country you will be treated and billed at a later date

There are MANY country's where if you are sick you can just go to the doctor or hospital for care if you are a citizen! Go see Michael Moores Sicko and you will see this is true.
