A few weeks ago on Larry King Live, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr were on hand for an interview. At the end of the interview, Larry disclosed the results of a poll, the fans' three favorite albums. This was the result:

1. ABBEY ROAD
2. SGT PEPPER
3. WHITE ALBUM

What are your three favorite Beatles LPs (US versions as well as UK albums will do)

My favorites are (not necessarily what I consider 'the best'):

Abbey Road
Rubber Soul
Magical Mystery Tour
honorable mention: Please, Please Me

Best:
Sgt Pepper (A Day in the Life is still the greatest pop song to date)
Abbey Road
Rubber Soul

For us mercenaries, their Butcher Album:

.

Several years ago a copy of this little gem went for almost $40,000 at auction.

In 1969 I saw a copy on someone's car seat in a grocery store lot (before record collecting became a mania). I could've put a note under their windshield wiper offering to buy the LP for $20 or so. They would've gone for it, and I would've gotten a good return on my investment.

And if wishes were horses....

(And I finally figured out how to insert images! )

It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carry the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life.

In the evolution of the Beatles, I would have to say that Revolver is Sgt. Pepper Jr.

I agree with you on this, Dutch. Revolver sort of gave the world it's 1st taste of the type of 'psychedelic' rock that would follow from these guys.
(btw - love the pic and sig you've got going on now! )

When VH1 did the top 100 albums of all time , the Beatles had four in the top ten and Revolver was number one. The British version especially is a stunning piece of music.

the next three I'm gonna listen too....

if I could only listen to 3 it would be...

Abbey Road
Rubber Soul
Meet The Beatles (although I like the EMI/Parlophone versions better; it's a sentimental pick)

Man! that wasn't so easy to pick out only 3.

Agree Crossroad! Impossible task! (btw - Meet the Beatles is a sentimental favorite of mine, too, although I didn't have it on my list because it was my first LP )
