Warren, perhaps I put this spell on myself. I misinterpreted the magic all of you tricksters swing with. I never expected to see vampires and get caught up in the perilous and fascinating mission of chasing them, venturing into the extremes of hell and trying to remember hidden memories and how I've been used. I can't be sure of how this happened at Mountain Jam. I tried to be more careful. Somehow I returned home believing you are the most beautiful man on earth. I already said a prayer to help me be free from illusion and to understand that if I'm just a silly fool, the desire in my heart is real, and it shall be expressed somehow, even if I'm destined to write love poems to the wind. I want answers! I've already seen too much. I guess it's not what anyone expected.

So I drove up to Saratoga to see you again. i took a break from the taxing journey, after I almost died at Bonnaroo, placing trust in the hands of ding-dongs, and dreams of you shattered after watching your late-night set. It had to happen. The crows warned me. I mean, I am seeking truth, I am not looking to be a silly groupie. Yet the other day your face popped in my mind again with that tingly feeling of warmth, and I thought I should see you again and test my wits. Well, just the sight of you is a potent force now. Bless your heart. You are hot, even if you are a wolf using spells to dissuade me, I recognize the power.

"You are hot, even if you are a wolf using spells to dissuade me, I recognize the power."

He sure is hot - well most of the time - but the rest is a bit too deep. I think you hit the nail on the head with your first sentence though. :-)

"The crows warned me." Are you talking about the Black Crowes or just any plain crow? I'm curious.

But welcome aboard. We're looking forward to hearing from you again.

When you say 'ding-dongs' are you referring to the snack cake?

LOL. Warren did that song with Danny on Trumpet on 10-31-04. It was great. I've been putting together a compilation of Warren and the Mule singing a bunch of R&B tunes. That one will definitely be on it. I actually was listening to it this weekend on the drive to the show. Perhaps you caught the vibes from my car?

I was thinking he probably meant that song for his wife (just the spell on you part, not the bad stuff). That is if he even does songs with people in mind. You do know he is married, right? Let's not overlook that fact. :-)

Screaming Jay Hawkins is too voodoo for me. But it was a cool cut.

Anyway, here's some of the R&B track listing. I won't be selling it, though I think it could sell a bunch of copies. And I won't be making copies for others either cause it is all in Mule Tracks. But you will get the idea and can recreate it if you buy the shows.

It's a Man's World (not sure which version but not the one from Hunter Mt 07)
Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood (not sure yet which version I'll use)
I Can't Keep From Crying Sometimes (not sure which version)
I Put A Spell On You w/ Danny on trumpet (10-31-04)
The Thrill Is Gone w/ Dirty Dozen Brass Band on horns (4-30-05 NOLA)
Jealous Kind w/ Ron Holloway on sax (6-5-05 Philly)
Perfect Imperfection (with Ron Holloway on sax in Baltimore 6-25-05)
If Loving You Is Wrong I Don't Want to Be Right (Hunter 07)
Can't Get Next To You (Cleveland 6-23-05)
When Things Go Wrong with Robert Randolph on peddle steel (6-04-05 Hunter Mt)

There's others too. But I'm not finished looking for all the songs yet.

Have you ever met Rick?

Here are a few more for your compilation Angela. They are from NYE 05 Mule-A-Go-Go. That was my favorite of the five NYE shows at the Beacon so far. They were all great nights though.

Intro Theme(San Ho-Say)
Can't Turn You Loose
Shake
What Is Hip
Night Time Is The Right Time
Papa's Got A Brand New Bag

Yeah, I was thinking of those though they may be more soul oriented.

I'm sure he has plenty of resources to draw from GW. He's looking mighty fine. And sounding great. Really, I am impressed. What ever changes he has made has done him well.

As "Jessica2" I just jumped in with YouTube. The original "JessicaA "is Oklahoma and Rick
<?php??>

but there are two Jessicas here.

Where oh where is wiccan Jess now that our interest is high? The other post left by JessicaA alludes to Mighty Kind, a Dead cover band.

I hope JessicaA is not scared off...

Jessica, or whomever you are, I think you're writing this stuff because you have time on your hands and you have no other outlet for your writing. I suggest you start a blog. You will get a much wider audience. People who participate in music related message boards usually write about the music, not their personal stuff. Also, I would assume you are just trying to get a rise out of people here. You know the people on this board or you have been around and just want to stir **** up.

Whatever. . .

The rest of you guys. Don't you think you encourage the ongoing participation of this entity with your responses? I do. Most of us know each other by now. It can be fun to make fun of this stuff but what if the person is seriously mentally ill? I know it makes us uncomfortable but we don't need to react to it. Let's bring it to a higher level somehow.
