Newport was so very special indeed. I am always in my element when ABB hits the stage. Very strong performance and sound was stealth! I got to tell you that there were smilin' faces abound! Between the band and the crowd the vibe was excellent, laid back and very pleasant! Just bliss!

I made sure to coordinate meeting as many as I could from here...Paulann, Barb Potter, Barry Smith, Angelemerald, Bluesguy, Musicjaime. Wished I had seen Piacere. Just wonderful meeting folks always! I love getting people together. I had gone to the show with Alec and Fig and Bridgett. It was Bridgett's 1st ABB show and my 95th!! LOL!

Bring on Boston!!!

I am OK with no Whipping Post so far. Not that I don't like it but when you see them as much as I do, it's quite nice to see them change it up a bit. We were talking how one year they opened with it at the Tweeter in Mass. That was very cool!

dmccabe, the pictures are awesome! I am so bummed I didn't bring my camera. Do you have more? Would love to see them.

Yes, will see you in Boston!

The other thing I noticed with a lot of the songs intro's yesterday was that there were some different arrangements! Kept me on my toes as I couldn't "always" name that tune on the first note! LOL!

Gregg was real proud of Warren and Derek! Everytime these two do this it's magic!

Neil, well I wouldn't complain if I got a freebie!!

Effie, it really was and the atmosphere with company made it even better!!

The Newport show was freaking awesome and great and wonderful. The set list was pretty fantastic. The performance was phenomenal. How many times can you see a band and still find them exciting? Well for me it's when I see the ABB and Mule. Never could leave it alone.

Man, I have to move to Newport. I thought the Hamptons rocked. Newport has to be one of the most beautiful places on the East coast. What a beautiful place to see a show. Well worth the drive though I could have given up the parking lot that has become 95 north.

And I totally enjoyed the crowd and the people from this site. What a great bunch. :-) Sue and Barb, you rock. Alec, Fig and Bridget too. I had a great time. What a great place to hang. It will be on my best memories forever list for sure.

Yeah, that too. I was totally engaged. BTW, all the band members were totally on and having a great time and it was just a wonderful day.

Woman Across the River, Come and Go Blues and Liz Reed were my personal highlights.

The setlist included "The Weight". How was it? Did Gregg do all the singing?
This is one of my favorite songs.

The photos are great, but, what, no pictures of Gregg?
