Everyone I meet has a "How I met Gregg Allman " story. I have met Jaimoe and Butch (many years ago at concerts) and have been to a drum clinic where I met Jack Pearson, Oteil and Kofi Burbridge, Marc Quinones, Red Dog, but still have never come face to face with my personal hero, Gregg Allman.

So, what's the secret, hmmm?

(I did see him go by in his tour bus at Wanee.)

Go to the Beacon and stand outside after the show. I got his autograph this year.

I met Gregg out back of "The State Theatre" in Falls Church, VA. Jan. 2, 07. He's a nice dude. I got him to autograph a copy of the "Live At Fillmore East" album cover. I bought the album at a yardsale for 25 cents. He still puts on a good show. Even though he is two days older then god & really burnt-out . Plus I've got my tickets to go see him with the Allman Bros. + Bob Weir & Rat Dog on Aug. 14th at Nissan Pavillion.

Sorry Cuz

I didn't mean too

I've been on that mission for over 30 years.
Finally this year got a dream come true
Just gotta hang by his bus as close as possible
after a show

Gregg was soooooooo nice
Gotta Love that Southern Drawl
He signed stuff, took pictures
musta talked for a good 20 min. or so

Wasn't alot of people waiting for him
so that may have been why

Found out what kind of hair conditioner he uses
but thats a secret I'll never tell

The closest I came to meeting Gregg was when a buddy of mine won passes to a meet & greet pre show party before a Gregg Allman Band tour. Unfortunately, I think the radio station that sponsored the event forget to tell the band about the party, because no one showed up!

Nope never met him,met Oteil at the bar at the Marriot in 04 for the Red Rocks show and said hi to Derek in a bar in Denver, but I have seen the Allman Brother band and the show is up front anyways!

I would love to meet them in a non concert setting sometime.

Hey there sweet family,

Michael, I'm surprised you haven't been introduced to him yet. That's an oversight we'll have to fix :-)

Take care and know that you are loved,

Lana

Gregg stories are great and Dickey too...but....the ones I treasure are the Me and Duane stories......Now that slims down the crowd!

And I do plan to go to a lot of concerts.

I've never met him and at this point I don't want to and hope I never do cause I know I'll say something sarcastic about Rose Hill.
------------------------------------------------

Yet another unnecessary jab thatís just purshing away others getting involved with the Rose Hill fund raiser. To bad....
