My favorites for just laying back and blowing a little smoke: Treetop Flyer, Stephen Stills, and Room To Move, John Mayall.

Company says we can't get "mellow". BUT, if I were to have a relapse, or until I retire(whichever comes first), these would be on my playlist.

La Esperanza De Inez - Jack Pearson

Frisell - dTb

Naima - Coltrane

Riviera Paradise - SRV

Cool thing is, they work wonders even straight.

I have acquired a few Bee Gees bootlegs as of late and so I am prouder now to "come out" as one of their fans. I got a GREAT DVD from 1971 which is all PRE-Disco Bee Gees. It's all the great music they made in the 60's. I have an excellent show from Chicago, from the "Soundstage" radio or tv show. That one is from 1975 and it has old and new. I have a great Bee Gees live show from England from 1997. Don't damn Barry Gibb for his good looks, or Robin Gibb for being kinda girly and singing in his vibratto voice. The Bee Gees made some excellent music before and after disco. Yes, some of the disc is nauseating, as is Barry's "high" girly voice. Barry started singing in that high voice and it led to some very big hits. Unfortunately decades later he really couldn't sing in that voice. And he had an excellent deep voice that he used much less. The Bee Gees were VERY TALENTED and I have enjoyed re-exploring some of their live music. I also bought a double DVD set. Disc one is Bee Gees: One Night Only, and the guys waited WAY TOO LONG to make this live DVD because Barry had a very bad back and he couldn' hit the high stuff any longer. The other disc is a 150 minute history. I'm just not a heavy duty guitar blues fan. I don't like Warren Haynes' voice, his music, his songs, etc. I just hang out on this website. I like a whole lot of the older ABB though. I'm just not down on all of this heavy duty hippie geetar crap, nor the lifestyle. Geez, I don't get high and I don't care for biker chicks and barroom girls, sleeeezy chicks, etc.
