I have to agree. The 2ND SET version (August 16, 1994) is my favorite and I have a lot of versions. It's just wrapped up into a neat tight intense package there. There are other great ones. Some of those November 1993 versions with the JaBuMa sections are really cool too.

Agreed. THe August 1994 show referenced above is about as good as I've ever heard the song.

Woodstock '94 was none too shabby, either - nor were a lot of the Great Southern versions when Dan Toler was playing with Dickey.

I personally prefer the versions with Dan Toler over Warren Haynes so I'd have to choose either 03/09/04 Live at the Odeon or 9/05/02 (I believe) at Trinity College. The one at Trinity has what I consider to be Dan Toler's best solo ever.

One of Dickey's best songs.

Hmm. To each his own. I always thought Warren made that song his in a way similar to Chuck on Jessica. Nobody has come close to Warren on that song for me but I must say that Kach has really caught my attention lately. Great song.

6-29-94 Oak Mtn., B'ham

After the last chorus (and a couple of incredible solos), Warren echoes Dickey on vocals with a soulful "Where it all". I thought the song was fresh and new during this time, and everyone seemed to be digging playing it.

The guy I got the recording from taped it analog, and it's the only one I've ever seen.
