Wow, a half century. I had planned to go to EC Crossroads Festival or the NY Giants training camp in Albany, but a few weeks ago my brother told me not to make any plans for today. So I'm off to my surprise? party...

Happy Birthday Gamblersroll, I'm there myself. They say after 50 it's all down hill but it's more like a bobsled ride to hell! Just kiddin, have a good one bro.

It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carry the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life.

Just returned from the party- about 75 people or so, live band 2 kegs and enough food to feed an army. It was a great time but glad I won't be doing it again anytime too soon. Thanks for all your good wishes

50 qualifies you for AARP. My wife turned 50 before I did, and I was a "member by marraige" at age 48. That really made me feel old.

I've been one for over five years, got the car insurance (yes, it is cheaper), and will be looking at the supplemental health insurance in a couple of years.

Yes I did get my AARP card. I was going to bring it to the party to show everyone, but guess what- I forgot to bring it!!! Sad part is I still have to get up and go to work- I don't know how the word "retired" got into the name.

I'm just a couple of years behind you, so I'm not trying to age you, but a quote of Richard Pryor I read today may help, "you don't get old by being a fool." Consider yourself a living vessel of wisdom.

Rainy, I have seen your picture on the board, and if it is any consolation, you look younger than 50.
