Lohan popped for second DUI.... also got caught with the yayo.

She's definitely at the Robert Downey Jr level.

So much for that ankle bracelet she's been sporting... Hope she gets the help she needs.

Law enforcement now says Lohan was stopped after cops got a call of a vehicle being chased by another vehicle. The chasing vehicle was being driven by Lohan.

Lohan was driving a white Denali. She was chasing a Cadillac Escalade.

She was initially suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. A field sobriety test was conducted and she was subsequently arrested for DUI.

At the station, a search of her person was conducted, and cocaine was found in her pants pocket.

A breath test was conducted and her blood alcohol was between .12 and .13.

I pray for this child. I do.

I was channel surfin' last night and came across one of those "Cribs" shows (whatever they're called). I don't know who the kid was, but he's some kind of a pop-star of the moment. The show was like a bad car wreck - I had to look for a minute or two. Anyway, this kid (not even 16 years old) was walkin' the camera crew around his house. HIS house. This was a big mansion, with swimming pools, industrial size kitchen, media room (HDTV screen the size of a football field turned sideways) and no fewer than six cars in the driveway (several Mercedes etc - all heavily pimped out). did I say that this kid wasn't even 16 years old yet?

I always thought that child actor's payments were supposed to be deferred or go into a trust fund or something until they were old enough to handle the money. I guess not, and maybe it doesn't matter.

But when you take these kids (actors, pop stars and even athletes) and throw millions of dollars at them ... after they've accumulated more gold chains than will fit around their necks, more cars than will fit in the driveways and garages of their mansions and more giant televisions than they can watch - what else are they going to do with their money?

I thank God every day that I wasn't a bazillionaire when I was 18 - 24 years old. If I had been, I doubt I would've survived. These teeny-bopper stars just have more money than they can handle responsibly.

I hope that this is an old story about the Lohan kid, because that's what she is. Just a kid.

"Yayo"--that's a new one for me.

I hope becksbolero posts in this thread. He doesn't have to write anything--just that his sig will make a useful visual aid when contemplating the ups and downs of La Linds's increasingly tragic trajectory. Thankfully, no fatalities due to her yet.

I don't condone what she's doing as far as getting into an automobile and chasing after another auto while drunk but I do feel sorry for her - it's obvious she is one messed up girl. And it probably hasn't helped that she has a mother who goes out partying with her and that from a pre-teen age she's been the main source of support for her family.

"Its time to thin out the heard."

my beautiful and beloved but troubled 23 year old niece was killed while driving drunk in a one-car accident on father's day morning 2005. at a high rate of speed her sports convertible - which, like lindsay here, she earned for herself - flew off the road, and hit a tree. ironically - for those of you who think there's something amusing about this poor child's troubles, you'll laugh your head's off at this next part: the cop who responded was my niece's high school prom date! whoa, if that hilarious or what? after all, "Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege" closed casket funeral of a girl as pretty as poor Lindsay - closed casket, the FUNNIEST KIND OF FUNERAL, huh?

have a great day -- hope you're rolling with laughter! and don't even get me STARTED on how funny all the death and heartache is when it comes to the ABB and their substance abuse...keepin' the heard (sic) thin works best a certain amount of self-selection, huh?

some of y'all might want to reconsider whether when the herd gets thinned out, it may be some of the rest of us thinning out YOUR genetic material for the good of the planet. like anyone who doesn't get my point. not necessarily y'all, but i've seen the previous threads about this kind of stuff, and i just want to get in on the ground floor.

actually, now that i look up, "PeterNelson," well, actually, i hope you get a great laugh out of this. i wonder if i have a nice photo of Natasha i can upload here. she was REALLY good looking, you know, so maybe you guys could photoshop her into doing something raunchy as part of the hilarity. won't THAT be great fun?

I don't find stories about this person's problems amusing. I find them tedious. This girl has little or no talent and yet people follow her every move. Why she doesn't at least hire a driver is beyond me. There's no excuse for drinking and driving. None. She's the kind of person that will kill someone with her recklessness. If she doesn't want to take her life and safety seriously then there isn't much anyone can do short of locking her up.

A rich, talentless starlett throwing her life away is neither tragic or unusual. If this ding-bat kills someone while drunk behind the wheel, that is tragic.

ron - sorry to hear about your niece. No - it's never funny when a young life ends abruptly due to tragedy. Especially for those of us that remain behind with their memory.

As someone is recovery, I am somewhat sympathetic towards LiLo. However, I'm kind of pissed that someone with her type of resources can't seem to get it together for even a month. These Hollywood people are like spoiled rotten lap dogs, thinking they are above the standards and laws the rest of us live by. Time to get serious about recovery! I think she'll have the time between possible jail and since no studio will touch her now. Of course, she's always has that "E True Hollywood Story" to fall back on.

I for one am getting tired of all of these skanky rich girls and guys thinking they can do whatever they want and get away with it. These girls are treated like royalty and given everything they want. Throw her in jail for a while, and I'm not talking about special Paris Hilton treatment. While they are at it I would throw Paris back in there with her. She doesn't seem like jail did anything to change her ways. These rich, stuck up, I'm better than you are because I'm wealthy, rags need to be treated like anyone else. I don't feel the least bit sorry for any of them. Get them off the freakin' road in their rich spoiled kids luxury cars before they hurt or kill some innocent person.

brandon, it's not for me to judge your recovery, but if i read what you say to suggest that someone with this level of this disease who has money would get past this if she'd just "get serious" about recovery, the implication is that this is all about willpower, which is kind of pre-AA kind of a worldview, doncha maybe think? i mean, my biological father spent 25 years in the gutter not because he lacked willpower or resources, but because he has a disease. (i have some funny stories about him too - dangling me out the 2d story window by my feet when i was a baby, making mom and my grandmother beg him not to drop me, ypu know, funny stuff). he hasn't had a drink - or a toke or dropped acid or anything - in over 20 years, but it's not because he's a better person that Lindsay Lohan, or my late niece.

incidentally, this rich talented starlett (sic) (heard-thinning time!) keeps gets work because she's thought by many to be spectacularly, could-be-Jodie_Foster talented. i read an article in the legit arts press describing her at the crossroads of Jodie Foster & Kristy MacNichol. it also said the head of Disney Studios handed her a million dollar bonus check when she was 16.

this isn't about anything but schadenfreude, really. yuk it up, guys. who wants the hot pic of my dead niece emailed to them so someone can make her pop in 3-D and we can all laugh about that?

thanks for the condolences, lolasdeb. no one else needs to go down that road, when people die in my family - and we've lost a couple recently - i don't post it here. you know, i don't see a dime's worth of difference in rich and poor, famous and unknown, whatever, when it comes to this. self-destructive children, manipulated by adults for pleasure and profit, stricken with the disease of alcoholism, yeah, Lindsay Lohan's possible death at an early age is a tragedy just as much as anyone's.

you're welcome to feel differently, but the slippery slope is that when it's you dying, you may get the treatment you give others. for all i know, she might be the prince of peace returning. sounds pretty hilarious, but you never really know, do you?
