Was planning on it but work got in the way DancingGirl and a couple of others had plans on doing this.

I had also been thinking of going, but did not really get it organized. I hope DancingGirl made it. She was having trouble figuring out how to get there from Minneapolis. I wish I could have helped her out, but the timing just didn't work.
Whose pictures are these? I like the ponytail view.
I agree about the crowd. It did look thin. Too bad, because I'm sure it was a great festival and the weather was excellent. It is a long drive from just about any city.

This was a great festival, I would encourage all of you to check it out next year. The venue is similar to Wanee, in that they have other festivals there and have infrastructure in place to handle the big crowds. Real bathrooms, showers, etc. And it's a beautiful part of the country, I had never been to Minnesota and was pretty impressed.

By the way, the crowd was pretty thin for the start of Mule's set, which was disappointing to me, but it filled in nicely by the end of the show. Everybody here knows I'm a big Derek fan first and foremost, here is what I just posted on his Forum...

This was the best DTB show I've ever seen, in my opinion. Derek in particular was completely off the charts, creating sounds I've never heard on guitar, not even Derek's guitar. Here is the setlist, I thought it flowed very well...

Blind, Crippled and Crazy
I Wish I Knew
Crow Jane
Sahib Teri Bandi>Maki Madni>Sahib Teri Bandi (Off the hook!!!)
Leaving Trunk
All I Do
My Favorite Things (best DTB version ever?)
Soul Serenade
Feel So Bad
Stand Back (Duane Trucks joins on drums, stays for rest of set)
For My Brother (best jam of the whole festival, Kofi and Derek exchanging riffs, smokin' hot!)
Up Above My Head

E: Key to the Highway

I'll be writing a review for the festival for my monthly Jambands column, so look out for that. I just need to find my copy of The Superlative Thesaurus, so I don't repeat myself!

I hear that this is on etree and there are two sources. Also, Warren sat in with Ratdog at 10K lakes and that is on etree as well.

I would like to proudly point out that the guy who recorded this, Mike Mahoney, was the winner of the Hittin' the Note contest where we gave away 2 VIP tickets to 10KLF!

Way to go, Mike! I already knew you deserved to win, but this is the icing on the cake.

Bumping this up to say that I have a line on a recording of Derek's show!

Trust me, I'll spread it far and wide once I get it into my hands. I actually know how to burn CDs now, so look out world! Now that I've joined the 21st century, maybe I'll ditch my rotary phone for one of those futuristic push button ones...

There is a post over on Derek's board on this very subject, Rob! Sounds like you got an excellent show!
