I just came from a jobsite and the subcontractors were playing local classic rock radio. I'm No Angle came on. I haven't heard that in ages...kinda forgot about. I'm not sure I like it....in fact I don't think I do.

When did that come out? Who's playing on it?

Be kind please, just my opinion. We've all got songs that we hate by artists we love.

Give it another listen.

It's a pretty good song i think. Saw him preform it last year during the GAF run out west.

The song is from way back when. Late 70's i guess?

okay, i'm a decade off, late 80's...

what's a decade here or there, when you get to be my age...

CMTV just did it's "Top 20 Southern Tunes of All Time".

I'm No Angel was #20.

Sweet Home Alabama was #1.

The Brothers had 3 or 4 in there. Ramblin' Man was 2nd or 3rd.

"I'm no Angle"

Was a special edited version of "I'm no Angel"

That was made for Subcontractors and carpenters......

Just like "Just before the Bulldozers fly"

It was a 1986 release.

Just messin' with ya !

Wow! Now that surprises me. I don't think of it as 'southern' at all.

...better last fall in concert than on the album--though the album has grown on me...

The shame about Gregg's 80's output is that there are some great songs in there but the production style of that era makes me cringe. I wish him and other artists like Clapton would rerecord some of those great songs that sound horrible to me due to the snare drum being so up front in the mix and those awful synths. I feel the same way about Dickey's Pattern Disruptive album.

I would be nice if the world catered to my whims....

I think this is right......

Dan Toler - Guitar
Frankie Toler - Drums
Chaz Trippy - Percussion
Bruce Waibel - Guitar
Ed Callie(?) - Sax
Tim Heding - Keys and Background Vocals

I can tire of a song if it is overplayed. Like in summer '75 when they played "Fame" 25 times a day
on the jukebox at the Pool I worked as a lifeguard. And I am a big Bowie (and John Lennon) fan.

But I just bought the DTS 5.1 mix of "Young Americans" and I am diggin it again.
extras include Bowie on Dick Cavett with Luther Vandross singing backup vocals.

...he MAY have a bit of a problem with The Monkees, depending on whether or not his tinfoil hat is in reasonable proximity should one of their tunes carry over the airwaves.
