Annarose wants to know who we are....scary. Please update!

Ok, I'm bumping this one up with a big Beacon weekend coming up. Plus it was just fun looking though this thread again. Please add yourself so we can all find each other. See you all soon.

In honor of Red Rocks.......

In honor of the current Mule Tour, Wannee, and the Beacon, I'm bumping this one up....Now that I know what you look like, hope to actually "see" you there!

I always wonder if Im seeing YOU at shows or simply out and about. Is there a secret handshake for members of this web family? Or do we all get matching tattoos? Seriously though, has this topic been covered? Is there a way that people here identify themselves or others? Im sure Ive seen YOU at ABB or GM or WSP.maybe down at the local Whole Foods.

Yeah, that's what I mean. But I don't see a lot of personal pictures.....maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. Or maybe everyone here is a twin of Gregg, Warren, Dickey, and Derek :^ ) !

another true story.... I was at Torrington Ct to see the dTb on 5-17-2007. It was intermission and was sippin on some beers when this guy walked up to me with hand outstretched and say your No1ToRunWith. I said... yeah. He said cool to meet you. It was fly_fish a.k.a Heath from Nc. That was cool.

I think you make a good point. Going to a Sweeties party or pre-show party, you will meet lots of other posters. But if you just go to a show, it's hard to meet other folks from this board, unless you ask everyone you see or talk to.

Now if we all wore peach colored hats, that would make it easier...

At Wanee somone took the time to make name tags where we all wrote our names and screen names on the tag. I appreciated that more than you can imagine. Walking around the festival the tags around our necks gave us away and people often congregate before shows where you may recognize someone from a picture online and then you just kind of uncomfortably introduce yourself...that's how it works for me. I also exchange cell phone numbers before going, but that doesn't really help you recognize me unless you coordinate before hand based on a role call (which I highly suggest).

A little true story of my own. I went to a DTB show on 4-08-06 at the 9:30 club in DC and had talked to some people online, but didn't have any plans. I was talking for awhile before the show to the guys next to me and it turns out it was skydawg8 and his friend...one of the people I had talked to online. I also ran into absnj, who picked me out because I mentioned the distinctive description of my friend. I was conversing with some people at the DTB/ARU show and ended up meeting makimadni, someone I had talked to on here...it just kind of happens. You check a role call, or start one...check pictures on here...it happens and its great to meet anyone on this site.

Or you can do a "roll call" on here and arrange to meet before the show at a certain place: t-shirt stand, beer stand, ladies room, etc.

BTW, my next show will be Clarkston, MI. Anyone else going?

LOL - is he a PeachHead??? Rhonda - I met some folks at one of the Beacon parties this year ... recognized people from pics I'd seen on the site and just walked up to them and introduced myself as Lolasdeb. Seems like there are usually threads started looking for people going to shows - that's a good way to begin making plans. Also, the HTN table at a show is a good place to find like-minded folks from this site.

The HTN tent/booth is always a congregation point. I've met a lot of folks for the first time hanging out there with Joe (JNB), Bill (williehoward), Greg and Rob (Robjohnson).

All the folks I've ever met were wearing name tags, except Clay.... The HTN booth inside the venue usually has a system of sorts set up to get everybody hooked up. There is a thread in the old anything goes archives, its redriders thread if I can remember clearly. I'll post a link later, if someone doesn't beat me too it.

And Bob, if Judy does it for you that picture of Susan T. probally set you off. Is it just me or is she just beautiful. (inside and out if you ever get the chance to meet her).

Anyone else find it Ironic that left is on the right?
