Well tomorrow is my last tour of duty with the Fire Department.
I am retiring July 1st after working one of the greatest jobs in the
world for 25 years. However I feel it is time to move on, give others
a chance to be promoted, take a few weeks off and perhaps start
another career. I will miss the personal and professional relationships
and I will miss my brothers and sisters.
I will not miss being gone for 24 hours, working holidays, missing family
events, the cold/hot weather and eating my food like it was going to be my
last meal!! LOL
I looking forward to my life after the fire department.
Ed

Congratulations on the retirement, Ed! Wow...25 years! (Hopefully I'll be following suit in a couple of years, myself! ) Thanks for your service to community while you were a fire fighter - you guys are heros, all!

Does this mean you're gonna work on a cookbook of Fireman's Recipes?

Whatever you do, be proud of what you've done, and I'm glad to see that you survived to retire.

Congrats, now be like a teenager with a little bit of money for the next 50 years.
I'm sure those 24 hour shifts were quite tough to hang sometimes, the holidays, the weekends not to mention the occupational risk. Congrats, well deserved relaxation.
Hope you find another occupation you can attack with passion.

Hi Ed,

I been wondering how things are coming along. Sounds like you made the right choice for all the right reasons. I'm sure you and your family are very happy. Just think, you'll have some time to listen to all those shows!!! Too bad there wasn't a Red Rocks date so we could all meet up again soon!!!

Take good care my friend!!

Love ya,

Sue

Congrats Ed! I'm looking foward to putting my bunker gear up on the shelf for the last time myself in a few years. Don't catch all the fish, now.

Congrats, Ed!

May good karma shower you for many days to come for all the good you have done.

Enjoy your retirement, but make sure you visit your old friends at the department once in a while ~ you will surely be missed.

Peace.
