If previous years are any indication, it won't be happening at my two Canadian shows at Casino Rama....

In a nutshell, there will be live recordings this summer, but they won't be instant.

We're very happy with how the Wanee and Jazz Fest shows have come out, and hopefully we can keep the high quality and quick turnaround going for the summer shows.

So what exactly does that mean? Are these in fact soundboard recordings, and if so what is the procedure to get them?

I believe that Instant Live is either owned or affiliated with Clear Channel Productions. Therefore, Instant Live recordings are only available at those venues owned by Clear Channel. If I am wrong, please correct me.

Paul, you are wrong...sort of Let me correct you gently

Instant Live doesn't exist any more, so they aren't owned by anybody. I think that you are basically correct about the way things used to work, but one of the good things about the new arrangement is that we hopefully will be able to offer shows at non-CCE venues.

To answer another question, these are indeed soundboard recordings, and they wil be availabe through www.hittinthenote.com, your one-stop shop for live Allman Brothers. There will be some lag time between the show and the CDs becoming available, but most people seem to think that the Wanee CDs sound better than any Instant Lives, so hopefully it will be worth the wait.

You must not have been at the Niagara Falls Casino last summer. They had them both nights.

I got a back-to-back Rocking Horse/Soulshine to prove it.

I wasn't there, but I assume it's in the U.S.?

The last shows played in Canada, London and Toronto in 2005, didn't have Instant Lives.

I only saw Darien Lake last summer because, as I remember it, there were no other Canadian dates, so I'll bet the Casino at the Falls is on the US side..it's the one Steely Dan just played.

Rob, will the two Canadian shows at Casino Rama be recorded and available through Httin' the Note?

Niagara Fallsview Casino is in Canada. I was there for the two shows and they had ILs for both shows {6-23-06 and 6-24-06}.

As my Dad used to say, "assume nothing". The Avalon Ballroon is in the Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls, Ontario. The last shows that were played in Canada were on June 23rd and 24th 2006. And they were both amazing! Ya need to keep your ear to the ground bro! See ya at Rama in a month!!

Just a quick note to say that I'm not sure whether these specific Canadian shows will be recorded. Hopefully we will have most of the summer tour, but venue issues and other problems can always crop up and make it impossible to offer Show X.

It's probably also worth mentioning on this thread that both Niagara Falls shows from 2006 are currently sold out, and I don't think they will be reprinted. These live shows are always printed in limited quantities, so make sure to strike while the iron is hot!

Hopefully the talking heads from both sides will be able to work out the details. The room (at Rama) has great acoustics and it would be a shame if the shows weren't recorded. Just a heads up Rob, put me down for both shows!!! Cheers Ken

Does this imply that we could get "instant lives" from the beacon?

Rob, I see that the previous years' Instant Live recordings are still offered at the HTN site. Does this mean that the band owns the rights to these recordings & can offer them into the future as they see fit, or will they become out of print & unavailable in the near future?

The Saturday show was OK, but started off with some real nasty feedback during Revival. (Oteil's amp???)

Short show which is typical of casino shows.

At Turning Stone, it's 90 minutes regardless.
