Stills is touring now. Has anyone seen his show? Is it just him, or does he have a band? Manassas is one of my favoirite all time Cd's and I am wondering if he still puts on a good show!

My friend saw him just the other night and said it was a decent show. I'll get more info if I remember and post it. I say, go to the show....What do you have to lose?

Got my tickets, July 10th, Santa Cruz, CA. Can't wait. Seen CSN many times, but never Stills solo.

Just saw him in April, fantastic show! Do not miss it. He usually signs stuff after the show.

Hey Peteyman, you might want to venture over to the Vines forum, I just planted 3 Stephen Stills vines to join the other 4 or 5 I've already offered this year.

Well, based partially on the encouragement from this site, I went to the Stills concert tonight. I was happilly surprised. First, by the three tour buses, which assured me he had a band. Then by his exuberence , and the crowd's as well. He started with Helplessly Hoping, which I admit I forgot he did. Then, the band left and he did a number of acoustic songs, starting with Treetop flyer, which he really enjoyed. He joled and talked a lot and was clearly happy to be there tonight.

He had modernized a lot of his old songs, most notably Suite judy Blue Eyes, For What It's Worth, Woodstock among them. By Allman standards I thought the show was a little short, but enjoyable. One encore, Dark Star, with some nice jamming.

He had a great band, and I correctly identified Joe Vitale on drums and Kenny Passerelli on bass. I first saw them years ago with Joe Walsh at the Cape Cod coliseum with Elvin Bishop. Great show, I even got Joe's drum stick!

So there is nothing like live music in the summer. See Stephen if he comes to town.

I think Neil Young is the only one who's career is still evolving, dare I say the rest are resting on their laurels. Just my opinion now.

It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carry the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life.

Peteyman, did you catch the VT sticker he had on one of the speakers? A salute to the victims I would venture.

I can't seem to get enough Stills these days and will soon be offering up a few more on the vines forum, one a very recent one. Found out Stills and I went to the same High School, years apart, but how cool is that?

Stephen's album from last year, Man Alive, is a darn good listen -- among the best things he's done in a long time.
Crosby and Nash put out a double CD of new studio tunes a couple of years ago -- haven't heard any of it, but the point is, I wouldn't say Crosby Stills & Nash are resting on their laurels. They work at coming up with new stuff.
It's all good.

Tan Dan: I was sitting back a bit too far to notice the VT but he spoke at some length about the war, Bush ( only 500 days left!) etc. He also spoke fondly of florida. He seemed to really enjoy himself and that the crowd still found him a relevant artist!

RE the other memebers of CSNY, in my humble opinion Croz is still doing great stuff. CPR is excellent. Have seen them twice; Pevar is a guitar wiz, and Croz is still writing great stuff. I would see CPR again in a minute!

BTW, Pevar recently replaced jimmy Herring in Jazz is Dead. would love to here more from that band!
