Does anybody have an info on any In Concert appearance by the ABB in the early 1970s? It was a long time ago, and my memory is not what it used to be. Can any one help?

I remember watching that. Great set, then as the credits rolled, they had a picture of Berry, and a scrolled paragraph about his death shortly after the taping. Always wondered why the whole In Concert series was never made available on video. That and Don Kirschner's Rock Concert.

Cool set all to short to the true believers. Ramblin Man fit in good especially after the opening act, Poco with Ritchey Furray.

I, also, wonder they haven't released those shows on DVD. There was so much good stuff on that show. I remember watching the bands from the California Jam of 1974. Bands like Black Oak Arkansas, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, etc.

One of them had a killer show with Ted Nugent and Golden Earring..two of my faves....I loved "In Concert" the best....

Yes That Cooper was good...I saw that tour...Billion Dollar Babies...it was my first show(Atlanta)....Flo and Eddie opened.....

Then The Doobie Brothers and Loggins and Messina was next for me..that show was great back then....I was estatic for the young punk I was.

The "In Concert" with the ABB was filmed at Hofstra University in 1972. I remember watching that live on ABC..in S.F. it came on @11:30..When I moved to Orange Cty. There was a Simulcast on KLOS..in L.A....It was a Great show...as was Don Kirshner's Rock Concert...I remember being so worked up about the Allmans being on TV...That I left a Party to go Home and watch The show.....I remember it Opened with Gregg leaning on a fence...and Saying..."I'm Gregg Allman and welcome to Macon Ga."...Wet Willie and Marshall Tucker were also part of the original TV Broadcast...I Have the Allmans Portion....and would love to Have the Marshall Tucker part ....seems pretty difficult to find...

I'd love to have the whole show of both of these. Seems like the first Kirshner's Rock Concert had Kansas as the headliner and the 2nd show was the Allman show.

I've got the show, though not very long. Wet Willie does 4 songs or so, same with MTB. I'll have to double check. Maybe "Sat. Night In Macon", does that ring a bell?
