As we all know from the latest peach-o-gram, there is a presale. Or is there? I was just at ticketmaster requesting tickets, putting in the password, and they tell me there are no seats available! I tried best available, loge, balcony, one ticket, two tickets, and NOTHING! This is very distressing since this my first presale opportunity. Anyone else have any luck?

No! Apparently some people did get lucky. I logged online at 7:45 and started checking at 8, I tried until 10:45 and I tried this morning. Nothing. -- This is my second year not being able to get through. But you know, it's Ticketmaster, they really blow! hee hee. I had to deal with them from a retail end for years. -- I just have to learn to not get my hopes up. -- Sorry, hopefully we can get some decent seats through the regular channels.

Herei is a note I got from Lana.....
Hey there sweet family,

The Allman Brothers Band are rolling into Chicago July 29th and 30th and, can
you guess what I'm going to type next, Chicago? (drum roll) Yesssssss! You're
Getting a Pre-Sale!

Tickets for the ABB's two night stand at the gorgeous Chicago Theatre go on sale
to the general public this Saturday (4/12) at 11:00 AM. However, wonderful you,
you, you and even you schlepping around the house in, jeez are those thongs???,
get to pix up incredible tix early just because you're in the Peach Corps.

Here's the deal: The pre-sale begins Wednesday evening (4/9) at 8:00 PM Chi-time
and runs through Friday (4/11) at Noon. When the peaching hour arrives hit
TicketMaster's web site armed with your credit care information and the
password: tomdowd

Of mucho importance: This pre-sale is an opportunity the Allman Brothers Band
offers to members of its Peach Corps. All orders will be double-checked against
Peach Corps records and are subject to
invalidation for any reason. There is a 4 ticket limit for both nights.

I'm so happy I could sing! But I'll spare you that torture and let you listen to
the ABB play Firing Line instead:

http://hahtsauce1.haht.com/gallery/abb/sound/multimedia/allman.swf

While we definitely don't want you to spead the pre-sale password around, it is
totally cool to share the Firing Line link, or mail the e-card associated with
it, to any of your peeps, anywhere in the world - like Peach Corps members
DelDavis in Norway, ZekovicZoran in Yugoslavia, Maurice Aust and his Dad in the
Netherlands, Bill Ector in GA (Get Well Soon, Brother!), and Adam serving in
Iraq.

Of course Firing Line is just one of the a-may-Zen tracks off the ABB's new CD
Hittin' the Note. To hear more, place a request on Radio Hittin' the Web or
(better yet!) score a copy of the CD through:
http://www.hittinthenote.com

The Brothers will be touring extensively in support of Hittin' the Note this
summer. Dates, venues, supporting acts, on-sale information, etc will be added
to the Calendar on:
http://www.allmanbrothersband.com
just as soon as we receive them - in fact, a ton of 'em are waiting for you
there now! :-)

Take care and know that you are loved,

Lana

r5, if you're there - you're really not supposed to post that. The info is for members of the Peach Corps (which is probably everybody around here, but not necessarily), and the password in particular is supposed to be a secret so that it doesn't get into the wrong hands.

I'm pretty sure the pre-sale had only a limited number of tickets available, so maybe the pre-sale allotment sold out. I'm sure there will be plenty of good seats at the regular sale on Saturday. I was able to get in last night and got 2 tix (good ones!) for Tuesday.

Sorry Marley, didn't think that would have been an issue. Won't happen again.

Well, it looks like I am having the same probelm with the Ticketmaster thing as well. I have tried on and off for the last 24 hours to get presale tix. No dice. Keeps telling there are no seats available no matter what selection you try to choose. I noticed there is an XRT presale as well.

Lana, can you please shed some light on this issue?

THE PRE-SALE this year was a nightmare but i still give lana and rowland a thumbs up for the offer and opportunity..you would think Ticketmaster would get there act together with the online ordering system .i mean its been over 9 years now and its still just as bad as when it started....either way ill see all you at the shows!!!

I was able to score AA 4L - better than orchestra pit , I think. So presale did work - but it did stop after I tried to get Wed. night. End the evil monopoly!

yo TheBrother, great seats but orch pit is the first 4 rows right in front of row AA. kind of a roped off area. they arent even listed on the Chicago Theatre seating chart but they are there. rows AAA thru DDD. sat in row CCC and DDD IN THE orch pit last year. AA is i huge score though. im in 4R CC the first night. so actually AA is 4th row. and CC is 7th row. see everyone in july!!

As soon as it becomes acceptable to dance around and gloat about the incredible seats we got from the presale, let me know, okay?

AT LEAST WAIT TILL SAT AFTERNOON to start the dancing topdroog. another thing i just realized is that these 2 shows arent "An Evening Wtih The Allman Brothers Band" shows as they were the past 2 years. which means no 2 sets a night. only 1 set a show. kinda a bummer, but the upside is KARL DENSON is the special guest both nights...

That's interesting. I guess I have mixed feelings about that. Some of my favorite recent ABB shows have been two-discers rather than three-discers, and I've seen bills where the DTB or Susan T-T have opened, and kind of regretted that I've never seen some of the opening acts. On the other hand, Karl who?

Karl's a great sax player with a fantastic band...I'd look for him to set in on a song or two....good times for sure!

KARL DENSON is a cool cat but i would still rather have 2 sets of the ABB. espically in CHI-town where the curfew is 11pm firm. they always seem rushed with the encores at the chicago theatre beacuse of that..kinda sucks..

Hey Krusty - we were probably next to eachother. I was in BBB in front of Gregg - he shook my hand after the show, walked right up to me - very cool. The reason I don't like the pit though is when you are too close you can't see the percussion. I was at the Beacon and could not see Jaimoe at all. I hate to show drop - actually I love it, and where else but here! Would love to see a preshow party in July! Where did you read about the other act?
