great review Eileen. Sounds like a great show. Yes to me too Derek is the best guitarist in the world and I see him every chance I get.

That's a great review, with some high praise being given to Derek...Thanks Eileen!

I was wondering if anyone knew if Kofi really played a clarinet solo or the reviewer just got the flute and clarinet mixed up?

Hi Ozzie, btw, it was great meeting you at Westbury last week!! Great show eh?

Kofi plays a clarinet? News to me, but he sure plays a mean flute!!

“Crow Jane,” the greasiest funk workout on “Songlines,” was another highlight and gave way to the set’s peak, the Eastern modalities of “Sahib Teri Bandi — Maki Mahni.” During this number, jaws were hitting the floor all over the place, as Trucks made like late-60s John Coltrane with his (literally) peerless solo. There is no one else playing guitar like this guy does today. No one.

Ray, the guy is definitely in a category all to himself. He just amazes me and seeing him with the dTb was amazing!! It was like having him up close and personal. My eyes were fixed on him almost through the whole show. The sounds he creates from his guitar are incredible. Do you know about his "D Note"? I was waiting the whole night for the D note, he came real close to hitting it but didnt. Was still great!! Me and hubby kept nudging each other when he almost hit it. Just INCREDIBLE!! Cant wait to see them again

"Here, Burbridge offered a devastating clarinet solo that sounded like both ’70s Stevie Wonder and present-day New Orleans funk."

This reviewer is almost certainly talking about a ClaVinet, with a V, the funky keyboard that is heard on such Stevie Wonder classics as "Superstition."

I don't know about the clarinet, but Kofi definitely knows how to play the Clavinet!

"There's Trucks - and there's everyone else." I couldn't have said it better myself.

According to this reviewer, Mike Mattison isn't apart of the band. He clearly was there that night
