Definitely do mail order - I did for Jones Beach and PNC. Still haven't received my tickets but I hope they're good.

Also, if you do the mail order, draw a picture or something on your envelope so Ruby (the ticketing person) recognizes it first.

Would it be worth it to do the mail-in thing for shows that have already been on sale for awhile, like PNC and Jones Beach?? I passed on these shows as I thought I would be out of town. Plans have changed and TM has only crap seats left. If I send $orders for these shows now, what are the odds I get good seats?
Thanks for any advice.

You may be able to score some orchestra seats, who knows? It's worth a shot. If you only send them the money order for the seats you want (they sometimes ask you to do 2 seperate ones: one for the worst seats you're willing to buy and one for the balance between those seats and the best seats you want) and you don't get them, they'll send you back your money order.

You can also call, and ask about your odds of getting seats - of course they can't say for certain what will be available when your letter arrives, but I've found that they're willing to at least give odds like "No way, it's about sold out" or "Well, we do still have lots left."....
