It's been awhile since I've heard a live version. Would absolutely love it if they play it Thursday!

I am there. Anybody else want to meet for dinner and drinks? The opener is a local bluesman who goes on around 8pm. I really don't need to see him, so 7pm meeting probably gets us to the venue at 8:30. Give me some time and I will come up with an appropriate meeting place, call it "Blondies East". Sorry, but I still don't understand how to do the RC format.

Do they let you tailgate here? Always seems like we get to Westbury late and just head right in to the show. Especially for a midweek show. I'm off that day but Leo and our next door nieghbors all have to work. Looks like it'll be a nice day if the rain holds off til Friday.
Still would like to check out the opening act.

...the few times we're able to get there early enough, we take out the folding chairs, the small cooler, roll down the car windows and jam-out to some tunage while getting prepared for the show...never been bothered by the staff or parking lot yellow-coats...

...if yr' planning on doing much of the same but plan to also add the obnoxious sounds of a non-stop nitrous tank, the chaos of the crowd that particular activity usually brings and wildly partake in other illegal activities all the while doing yr' very drunken best to call attention to yr'self and those around you, i urge you to park far, far away...

You should have no problem with tailgaiting at Westbury. However, for all those Westbury veterans that are used to hitting the parking lot in between sets to refresh your buzz, they are not allowing that anymore. No re-admission if you leave. It used to be great to be able to run out to the car and bake up between sets. For whatever reason they put an end to it. I guess they didn't want to lose the beer sales when everyone would run out to the car for a cheap cold one or two between sets. Not making this one. Hope everyone has a blast !!!!

Pete

Lefty is right. I wouldn't miss Sam Taylor. He's real good! The tailgate idea works for me.

Great news Marley, so glad Tyler is well enough for this.

I generally do "support the openers". In this case, Taylor is local, and can catch him at Port Jazz, or some other local club where my support will be better appreciated. Plus, if Barb says he's good, that's good enough for me to put him on my "to do" list. Speaking of local groups, Barb, there is a good local cover band, The Patio Dadio's playing at the Sea Cliff Yacht Club on June 16 (Sat night) for charity. Nice venue, good people and music, and close to home for you. I'll give you details on Thursday.

I'm working most of the day but we should get to the venue in plenty of time for the show. Can't make dinner commitment. Maybe a tailgate stop in the lot if we know where to look.

I'd like to be in the room to see Sam. I try never to take for granted that I'll always be able to see these artists. You just never know.

Marley - very excited that Tyler can join you. He's come a long way. Work on pops. He should come, too!
