Following your natural instincts to help others when they may have been seriously hurt is NEVER something wrong.

You did the right thing.
Caring is never wrong.
There was an accident and you tried to help somebody.
Anybody who has a problem with that has a messed-up view of the world.
Please don't let this couple of idiots stop you from doing the right thing the next time you face the choice.
The world needs more people like you.

You did good. But some folks have lost their lives assisting with breakdowns, flat tires, accidents etc. I had a friend that stopped and helped an old lady change a flat tire and a drunk driver ran over and killed him. This could had been this guys experience.

I have stopped and helped many folks over the years, but after my friends unfortunate incident that killed him. I always want to help, but I am a little picky about where the car is located.

It always feels good helping others, just be careful and keep your eyes on what is going and coming up and down the road.

mooch:

you did the absolute right thing. There are a lot of A holes in this world. I heard someone talking on NPR yesterday and he said something like, "If I know that there is something wrong and I just ignore it, am I any better than those who are doing it?" It made me think that it isn't always easy to get yourself involved, but if you don't, who will?

Thank you for being real!

Best of Life,

anytime you do good you can never be wrong...

People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
LOVE THEM ANYWAY~

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
DO GOOD ANYWAY~

If you are successful, you win false friends and enemies.
SUCCEED ANYWAY~

The good you do will be forgotten tomorrow.
DO GOOD ANYWAY~

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
BE HONEST AND FRANK ANYWAY~

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
BUILD ANYWAY~

People really need help but may attack you if you help them.
HELP PEOPLE ANYWAY~

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
GIVE THE WORLD THE BEST YOU'VE GOT ANYWAY~
Mother Teresa

Doing something good for others, especially a stranger, is never a bad thing Mooch. Do not let the freak who got in your face cause you to question your own sense of what's right (personally, l like to turn my back on those type and walk away - they are not worth my time). Thanks for offering a hand in need.

I'm wrestling with that good girl/bad girl thing too. To love is to live dangerously and I am not tough like my Mom. I'm a wus and pain avoidant. It seems like nice people are advertising for a whooping. No good deed goes unpunished. My Auntie is a big bitch. A hellacious evil selfish beyond belief bitch. She pretends to be a nice person when being a bitch doesn't work to get what she wants. She has never had to suffer or go without a day in her life. The whole world lines up to kiss her butt. Naturally, she hates my Mom, who is out of the closet as a nice person. Mom makes my Auntie look bad, wrong, and insincere. My Mom would go to the gas chamber for a friend. It has caused her a great deal of pain, I wish to avoid.

You must be very strong and very brave, to dare to be a kind person in this world. Kindness is not weakness. It takes tremendous endurance, and courage. I don't blame people for being mean. I'm considering it myself. I don't want to be hurt.

This is the honest answer but not the right answer. It's up to you.

Rydethewind, that is one of my favorite quotes. It was read at a friend's funeral recently, and it's one I'll always associate with him. Words to live by.

Mooch, you did the right thing. If somebody is that jaded or messed up that they have to hassle you for it, don't let it get you down. I have daughters, and I'd want someone to help them, like you did.
