You know, the kind where when you hear it you have no choice but to sit the &%* down

1. Derek Trucks - Rockin' Horse from Beacon DVD
2. SRV - Hug You, Squeeze You from El Mocambo DVD
3. Duane Allman & Dickey Betts - all of Whipping Post, LAFE ... all a man can say is wtf

Another gem from AFE that might possibly be better than Whipping Post is You Don't Love Me.

Bingo! I listen to that song at least once a day before bed. I have come to the point where I know exactly when Duane starts his solo, when Dickey starts his solo, and where a fan yells "Play All Night"

I think the whole of Blue Sky on the archival Stonybrook release is just incredible. I can't have that on and not just sit with a smile on my face listening to it. I love that tune and that version. (Still trying to track down some others from that era!)

Ach I just love the solos, every note seems perfect and is gobsmacking...

you are not alone, redspruce ... this song does it to me every time but once, in particular, during a live performance while standing under the stars and having Carlos guitar wash over me with this lovely tune ... well, it was a religious experience. And yes, I was in tears.

Recently heard "One Way Out", which has been a while. Man...I used to really "follow" Duane on that particular one for years, but Dickey just SNARLS on that one. SNARLS.

There's a show from 1/4/70 I have of Fleetwood Mac, & "All Over Again" completely blew my mind. Was so moving, I truly felt sorry for Peter Green.

And Jeff Beck's ode to Roy Buchanan, "Cause We Ended as Lovers."

Interested in a trade for that? I'm very interested to hear it.

I didn't know that. I assume Stevie Wonder didn't write it with that intention. Either way, it's a great song, and I can definitely hear the Roy influence, now that you mention it.

Warren on "Mule" from 10/29/04 @ Meymandi Concert Hall/BTI Center in Raleigh, NC. I witnessed this solo from the 1st row and I was totally blown away. And, I continue to be everytime I listen to the audio version of it.

First time we saw YES, they played one of my favorite little ditties, The Clap. Four big dudes in front of us standing up. I'm five foot nothing and I really love this song. I tap the biggest guy who happens to be blocking my whole view on the shoulder as my husband cringes. Back then I think he mighta weighed 150 pounds and was 5'8"(he's still 5'8" but has filled out nicely). This big dude looks at me with a what the hell look and I say I've been waiting my whole life to hear this song do ya think you could let me see it too? With that he taps his buddy on the shoulder. I'm sure my honey was thinking oh **** this is it! And the guy sits down and motions for his buddy to sit down too.

My ABB sit down is the one I always hope they'll play...Desdemona. My favorite. It's got a little of everything. The vocals, the guitar solos and a beautiful love song.
