I'll be shooting the fest for Honest Tune Magazine, so I'll be there (not to mention it's a few blocks from my house

Who all's going to be there? Anyone?

I'll be there along with my father-in-law and about 6 friends.
Hope there'll be tapers there!

I'll be there w/a friend of mine.

Budweiser Stage:
6:00:pm : Derek Trucks Band
7:30 PM : Jerry Lee Lewis
9:00 PM : Gov't Mule
10:55 PM : Allman Bros. Band

the only bummer for me is that the North Mississippi Allstars are also on-stage at 6:00 PM on the Auto Zone stage. Other than that...it's all good !!

I'll have to try and catch a full length show later this summer. Hopefully they will be within driving distance: Atlanta, St.Louis, Cincy, etc.

I'll be there man! Wanted to go to Nawlins but work got in the way so im runnin up to Memphis on Fri. for my fix. But they are going to play for ore than an hour, no? they start at 10:55 but that 3-6 Mafia starts at like 11:20. I would assume that Mafia will go for more than 40 mins and I just dont see how they would let a rap group's loud bass continue on later than the ABB. But then again, I've never been to this festival. I guess I'll have to wait and find out.

As i recall,it's always supposed to end at Midnite,'cause of the city's noise ordinance.....now,that's what i've always been told. But,I'm sure they'll play more than an hour. Looking at the set list from the Bros in 2000 MiM,they only played 14 songs....it was a great set too.

Figure on a 75 minute set + an encore from the ABB.

Friday:

12th Annual J&B Deckfest
8:00 AM (or when you wake up) 'til 4:30 PM

Budweiser Stage
6:00 PM Derek Trucks Band

Blues Tent
7:30 PM Hubert Sumlin & Willie "Big Eyes" Smith

Budweiser Stage
9:00 PM Gov't Mule
10:55 PM Allman Bros. Band

I'm disappointed that they have the family bands on the center stage, but at least it makes it easy to head over and see Hubert Sumlin. They should have switched Jerry Lee and NMSAS too.

GOOD TIMES IN MEMPHIS.....AND THE MUSIC GOES STRAIGHT TO MY FEET!!!

Travelling all the way from Boston to eat some ribs, soak in the sights sounds of Memphis,
and see my three favorite bands. Also, I highly recommend Walter Trout to anybody who is unfamilair. If you like your music with a bit more polish and shine - try Steel Dan on Saturday. Can't wait. My only fear is that it looks like a lot of rain will be moving through over the weekend.

Have fun Julie (both you and the kids) and hoping you get the great weather you deserve to go with the great shows I know you'll see!

anyone interested in having a designated place to maybe meet? I was thinking in front of the Blues Tent. Derek leads off at 6,& the gates open at 5...so,maybe if anyone is interested we could hook-up in front of the Blues tent at like,5:30,& then go over to their stage ? It's an easy landmark to find....any interest or suggestions?

Does anyone have a layout of the stages? I guess what I really want to know is, am I going to be able to jump from N. Miss. to DTB (or vice versus)? The Lee boys and N. Miss have been sittning in with each other lately and I've got a feelin that Rosevelt might be playing with N. Miss... Could be wrong but still not one to be missed.

LOL,I feel ya ! But for me,I'll have to meet anyone interested at the venue site,as I'm riding w/ friends,& we'll be leaving here around 3:30...althought it's only a 30 min. drive,we'll head straight there to park, walk,& be there when the gates open.
