Let's hope so because already have a ticket for Mule in London on the 14th so any of those 3 would probably be out. Wouldn't be averse to a nice weekend in Europe seeing Gregg though. Just not that weekend.
Although having said that I've seen Mule a few times but never seen Gregg solo. C'mon don't make me choose!!

Wish some of these Italy dates were closer to end of August/beginning of September and over near Sorrento...

I'm just going to be selfish and pray for UK dates. I'm moving house soon and need to save my remaining leave for that, so don't have the holidays to take in a little jaunt across the channel unless it's Amsterdam/Hamburg (or anywhere else Easyjet goes to from Bristol)! on a Friday or Saturday night. Please not the Mean Fiddler, Gregg!

I hope these dates will be prior to these Italian dates.
A German or Dutch date would be cool but there's also the bankruptcy thing
because there are so many summer festivals in that period.

I'm off on vacation to Spain on july the 16th.
On the other hand:
Well maybe wishful thinking:.... a Barcelona show > 17 July and < 26 July
would ROCK MY WORLD.

Whoo-Hoo ... as our American friends would say

19th is actually a Thursday ... so we still need confirmation on whether it is Wed (18th) or 19th (Thur) ... but it don't make much difference to me ... I would travel 500 miles to see Gregg on Octember the 32nd!!!

Whoo-Hoo again ... just in case my American friends thought I was being a bit English and overly reserved

... and please let the gig be at the Hammersmith Apollo or the Shepherds Bush Empire and not the dreaded Mean Fiddler

I'm with you on that one Colin. The Mean Fiddler is an O.K venue, but this gig really needs to be in a bigger environment. I would personally plump for the Shepherds Bush Empire.

I was thinking of going to see Riders on the Storm (Krieger and Manzarek) at the Mean Fiddler.

35!!!!! For that dump........not even a seat!

Forget it!

Don't care where it is, but would prefer soemwhere other than the MF. The Astoria above the MF is another option I would prefer not to visit. Bush Empire would be my preferred choice, but given that both Derek and Mule have only played the MF, does it mean that their Euro tour management have an agreement with the MFGroup? And I would thank GA&F would probably use the same people. If it's a MF Group venue - I'd go for the Forum at Kentish Town (apart from it being a b....... to get to after work from Chippenham). At the end of the day though....anytime, anywhere....suits me.

My thoughts exactly Gordon ... and it is a Sunday night which means public transport is limited and coming in to London on the M4 is a definite no-no ... so I will probably give them a miss too

I think where Gregg plays will depend upon which agency he is using ... bot Mule & dTb used TicketMaster and TicketMaster = Mean Fiddler Group

Gregg is not using TicketMaster for any of his announced gigs so far ... he is using Ticketswest for his US gigs and TicketOne in Italy ... so maybe he will use someone other than TM over here in the UK ...

In case you're watching Gregg ... Shepherds Bush Empire uses TicketWeb

Having checked on Mark McGee's and Bruce Katz's websites, it looks like the GAF gig in London will be on Wed 18th (not Thur 19th), because on Fri 20th Mark has a gig in California and Bruce has a gig in Syracuse NY ...

I went to the Astoria for the first time recently to see Johnny Winter. It's surprisingly big - two levels, standing downstairs, mixture of standing and seating upstairs (both benches and small tables)!

However, the sound was appalling - "boomy" and echo-y.

It's not relevant here, but I thought the show stank and left early.Scott Mckeon Band was support (as at J Bonamassa) and - unpolished as they were - they were superior IMHO.

I haven't been to the Forum, Wembley Arean or the Jazz Cafe. Getting home by public transport from "north London" can be tricy for me.

BTW, I should have said that the Astoria was packed for J Winter. There seems to be a market right now for the Blues in the UK and, given the reputation of the ABB (and Govt Mule and D Trucks separately), I think they could sell out a couple of nights at the Hammersmith Odeon and maybe the same in Manchester, say.

Germany would be a given for half a dozen dates and Italy may be good for a couple.

The fact that the Mule and GAF look like being in London within a few days of each other may be a hopeful sign!

Wishful thinking???
Warren in Belgium on July 15th, next gig the 21th, might be still in Europe that week ...
Gregg in Londen (UK) July 18th
Derek has no gig on July 18th .......(yet??) .... Playing the 20th in the States
Oops....
... Oteil is playing New York the 19th

It's not quite impossible.....

I just discovered thet the Hammersmith Apollo (ne: Odeon) is a TicketMaster venue ... and there are no gigs listed for Wed 18th or Thur 19th July ... so no excuse for using the Mean Fiddler ...

it's funny how opinions about venues vary amongst folk, I can't stand Hammersmith (too big) , can't stand shep bush (over sold the point of bursting and the worst sounding of any) , and I love the Astoria and the MF ! hehe, how strange am i?

You're right there Al ... anyway, as we've been going over to see him in NYC these past few years it is definitely his turn to come over here and see us
