Is it me being a sucker for this show or was that performance pretty cool.

Seeing Jeff beck on this show was pretty cool. Controlled yet screaming blues. That was sweet.

Anyone else willing to admit they watched and liked it?

Phil

and again I'll say it was cool. She took on a real chic kinda Joss Stone look from a few years ago. Weird but interesting. I think she just wen't from pop queen to something else. What I don't know.

Jeff Beck was totally cool.

That was great! Kelly looked like a hippie chick instead of a Britney Spears wanna be. I thought the Elvis duet was cool too. Atleast the Elvis half anyway.

I was passing by and saw Kelly Clarkson looking much different and Jeff Beck standing off to the side.
It was a fund raiser night for Idol. I give him credit for doing the show.

Both Kelly and Jeff did a real nice job.

Jeff Beck was the highlight, no doubt. But I was a little peeved when I suffered through 2 hours of the show with my wife and then they didn't even kick anybody off. What a let down!

Great performance by both.
You can't deny she's got some pipes.
Her new single is a rockin little number too.

Don't watch American Idol but saw on the Today show while getting ready for work that they had a charity show with Annie Lenox, Jeff, and many other real idols. Maybe this was part of that.

Man that was weird. You knew Celine wasn't looking at anybody, yet she still played it up, even though Elvis wasn't having anything to do with her - ignored her the whole time. I just thought it was funny that Celine got blown off the stage by a dead guy. The King still reigns supreme.

Black Dye #4 I'd say, either that or the shoe polish I used in grade school.

Jeff's had a string of weird one-off collaborations in this millenium:
Tom Jones for the Scorsese Blues series
White Stripes for his own 40th Anniversary shindig at the Royal Albert Hall
Kelly Clarkson, and Idol isn't even a cool occurrence, at all, like the previous two, anyway

Dutch, I don't want to sound like any number of JBAS people beating a dead horse, but Jeff might need new management.

Gotta respect the fact that Jeff Beck is still sticking to his guns and hasn't changed, years after Nigel Tufnel spoofed his look for all future generations to point to as a reference for "british guitar god".
