Has anyone heard anything about a possible release date for the Eric Clapton offical DVD of his 2007 tour? I know which show was taped but I haven't heard much else about a release date. I badly need this one for my collection...classic stuff!

I think I read somewhere that the California show with JJ Cale was taped.

No, this show was held at 3/15/07 at San Diego, so Derek was still in the band.
Last show with Derek was 3/18 show, no problems?

JJ Cale Show didn't go as planned. Some errors in filming.

Others shows were recorded, including Japan, so some of the JJ Cale footage will
be used. Also previous tour with Billy Preston was also filmed.

Crossroads II will be recorded for DVD, and might be released first.

I stand corrected- San Diego DVD with JJ Cale & Derek is being done, errors have been edited, will try and find out date in next week or so.

That's great news, I hope it's released either before or at least buy Christmas, that'd make an awesome gift for me & others. I also hope that the Crossroads Guitar Festival is released on DVD, & it in its entirety.

I don't mean to burst anyone's "Bubble" here, I really don't. But let's call a spade a spade. I went to and taped The Clapton Show w/J.J. Cale in San Diego (See Vine of this Show) J.J. Cale's being there was not the "Exciting" Rock 'n Roll Historic Moment everyone thinks it's gonna be when the DVD comes out. First of all, J.J.'s appearance cut into the Acoustic part of the show that E.C. had been playing with Derek. Secondly, J.J. is not a great Guitar player and his time on stage was, well....YAWN. Don't get me wrong, J.J. is a GREAT songwriter, but on stage.....

I hope that this DVD is released later this summer & it has a few extras on it from other shows, like the Japan shows, which just totally rocked! 5.1 DTS!
