I wasn't sure about it either, but do enjoy it. Within Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows is fantastic...especially when you crank it up to 11.

The one thing I can say about it is they had the right guys mixing it. George Martin would never put out something he didn't think was good. Probably why it took him 3 years.

I got this cd & surround sound dvd combo for Christmas. very good job mixing all those tunes together in unexpected ways. haven't given it a test drive in surround sound but expect nothing less than mindblowing.

my wife was in Vegas a month or so ago, and saw the Cirque de Soliel (sp) production that this is the soundtrack for. she was blown away by the performance and sound system /acoustics in the theater. HIGHly recommended if you are hitting Vegas.

Believe it is the soundtrack for the Cirque du Soliel show of same name.

I got it for XMAS, played it twice, and haven't played it again. It DOES have some very good stuff on it, though, and I'm sure it'll see the light of day in my stereo some other time. My feeling is this: I put it in the same category as a record of cover versions of some artists' material, as some have done with The Beatles, Hendrix, etc. It's a tribute by an artist or artists, and George Martin is certainly an artist. But with ALL the music out there, when I reach for the Beatles' section of my catalog, how much time am I gonna spend listening to something which is different than what the original artist intended??
NOT MUCH.

I was all set not to like it, after hearing the Lady Madonna mix on the radio. I bought it for my hubby and turns out I LOVE it.
