I'm more interested in the Soldano he looks to be using now. What's up with that? I don't remember seeing it earlier in the run. Also on the 'Sophia' amp is that a jumper cable running between the channels? I've heard of doing that on a Marshall, but that's new to me on a 'Sophia' amp.

You can jumper a Super Reverb too, which I used to occasionally do when I had a Super recently, but usually the jumpering would make a little too much top end and put the amp out of phase as thiers an odd number of tubes (the extra one making it an odd number is for the reverb). I did like how I seemed to get a little more gain and more gain at a lower volume, only a little though. It would really make the controls act all wierd, like 5 being the highest a control goes, and if turned to either 1 or 10 it would go down. You can also jumper a Bassman, and tons of other amps with 2 seperate channels/4 inputs

he wasn't using the Soldano, that's the guest amp head that Farmer moved out of the way in lieu of the other head on the tone tubby cab...looks like an O'Brien amp head...Derek plugged into that quite a bit...Susan one of those at home from what I understand

From what I understand, Derek's Super Sixes with the ABB contain two seperate circuits. What would be the "normal" channel has been replaced with a channel to get the "brown sound" from a tweed Fender. Reverb has also been added to that channel. The "vibrato" channel has supposedly been wired to be identical to his Super Reverb. So really what is going on is just combining two completely different amps for the most part, which explains why his tone with the ABB is so unique. (to my ears at least)

He was definetly adjusting with the Soldano on 4/7. I was in the front row of the loge and I watch for that kind of thing. I was wondering if Derek is toying with his set up. Not that he's not allowed, but I was wondering if anyone else saw it or has more info on this.
