I have been listening to the new (old) Boston Common CD and it is great. I think this YDLM is better than the Fillmore East cut. I am glad they went with the Duane era stuff. Thanks again guys.

Damn near impossible to go wrong with Duane-era stuff!

But it was a real find! It's is one I've never seen in trading circles

How often these archives come out is up to the ABB...not HTN. Some members think once a year is good, some think once every two or three years is good. I think there is a rich 38 year history that needs to be released before we are all on social security!

It's been in my CD player in the truck since I got back from NYC. It's one of the better Duane era show's I have heard.

It's been playing in my car this week, too.

Where do shows like these (that haven't seen the light of previously-traded day) come out of hiding from?

The Tour Mystic has spent many, many, MANY hours casting a wide net to try and find these tapes. There is a cool story behind each one.

I realize that, from a business standpoint, the band may not want the releases to be in competition with each other, sales-wise. However, Gregg, Butch, Jaimoe, and Dickey are all up there in age, and they haven't lived the healthiest lifestyle over the last 40 years. Any nice recordings AND VIDEO of the original band must be released ASAP....while the remaining original members are still alive if they are to see any revenue. This band is still causing a stir. When they stop touring, and a chunk of its boomer following stops bringing in alot of disposable income, they'll be lucky to have the mass-production of these shows be a worthwhile business venture.

Good Call Mule75...

Follow the Beatles path and release at the perfect time. They ALWAYS released a new LP just before Christmast, at least for the first 4 years or so.

The Brothers have 2 perfect opportunities to release archives, I think. Release one just before the Beacon and a second just before Thanksgiving. Knock 'em out Dick's Pick Style. Capitalize.
