Musically the 04/06/07 show was a superb show for me to see. I was hoping to hear covers of Stoned Me, The Weight, the Night they drove old dixie down - and that made the show IMO. 1st set was fantastic!!!! PF on second set was a great surprise and very well recieved by the crowd.
But I have to say, I paid over $100 for tix in Orchestra, and think it should be ok to hang in the isles down there. Security was way over the top constantly hassling everone in the isles, it was a sever buzz kill. I know they are only doing their jobs and there are fire marshal issues, but it really sucked and it made me PISSED. Next time I will have no expectations that we can hang in the isles.......Anyway, thanks ABB for a great show, as always it's a tremendous treat to see these guys!!!

you paid for a seat..not an isle..trying to get to my seat on 3/30 was a major PITA because of the isles being clogged

In my experience, security was pretty understanding. Fire regs require them to keep the aisles passable. If you were reasonable close to your row (ie no one at Row BB with a row T ticket), they would let one person stand on each side, and ask others to go back to their seats.

I did experience several drunken a$$holes who were pushing their way in front of people with paid seats and trying to push their way in front of the folks in wheelchairs. Then they got nasty when they were asked to go back. That behavior is not acceptable.

I thought this thread was about the New York Islanders. But now I see you mean the aisles.

Thanks, Alan! I appreciate your help on 3/31 too. I agree with Lefty. You pay for the seat, not the aisle.

The Isles of Langerham or the Aisles of the Beacon. I hate the aisles being clogged. Someone always knocks my beer out of my hands.

Orkney Islands "Hoy" My families original homeland.

Funny, I also thought this thread was about the Islanders. Last Thursday I had a good orch seat, but my friends decided they wanted to be closer. Four of us stood at row BB in front of Otiel the entire show. Security seemed to "break it up" until row DD, then they just walked back. I surely understand that if somebody has an aisle seat down there, they would not want to be squeezed, but everybody seemed very relaxed and cool, and we tried to respect their space. At one point during the second set a 6'5" drunk came down and stood right in front of me. Standing is a generous term for it, since he was having trouble keeping his balance. I actually told the guy to go back to his seat, even though he had just as much right to be there as I did. Funny thing is, he listened, and everybody around me, including the legitimate seat holders, thanked me!! Moral of the story is...if you are respectful of others, you'll be fine, if not, you will have problems. The Beacon is a microcosm of life, I guess.

People that have seats on the ailse should be able to move out into the ailse a little bit to make a little more space for everyone in the row. However, people who make there way down from other sections and don't have a seat on the ailse or even in the Orch should be sent back to there seats right away. I f you don't have an Orch seat, you don't deserve to be there. Just my 2 cents.

I didn't notice any instances of security coming down on anybody at the 4/2 show but I was in my seat (well, dancing in front of my seat ) farther back in the orchestra. I came in when band started and stood in aisle towards back waiting for friends and the security people did not hastle me at all.

This is disguisting behaviour - I'm glad to hear that it was not allowed by security (especially pushing their way in front of someone in a wheelchair...can't imagine what drives some peoples actions.)
