I'm not going to copy and paste any posts from the original thread. I just wanted to make sure folks had a place to send Brent condolences and remembrances.

I also have a favor to ask of all who have ever been to one of the Jams For Duane with a camera. I talked to Brent for awhile this morning and he did give me something I could actually *do* for him. He'd like to gather all the pics he can find of Cindy and/or he and Cindy together. I only have this one that Pam posted in the original thread (my wife snapped that pic):

If you guys can find any pics, please send them to me. I will do any touch-ups that need to be done and either do the printing myself or send them out and have them professionally printed with long-lasting inks, and I'll frame what I can and make a collage or two if I get enough of 'em. And then I want to give it all to Brent.

I know for sure that Cindy was at the 1st and 2nd Jam most of the day/night. SistaBluz, TerriB, anyone who snapped a bunch of pics, please dig 'em out of your archives and get 'em to me. This is something we can all do together, and I can assure you all, Brent will appreciate it for the rest of his life.

If you don't have digital pics, but you do have hard copies, send them to me and I'll scan 'em and then send 'em back to you. They wouldn't be out of your possession for more than a week or two.

Send whatcha got to bluetom@knology.net . If you have questions or suggestions, use that addy for that too.

Thanks in advance.

Go With The Angels Cindy,

Tom

TakeMeBWIAB..Tom... a beautiful photo... Rest In Peace, Cindy..

I can't help but have this song running through my head this morning... after I saw this picture...

Boulder to Birmingham/ Emmylou Harris / also a beautiful version by Joan Baez....

I don't want to hear a love song
I got on this airplane just to fly
And I know there's life below
But all that it can show me
Is the prairie and the sky

And I don't want to hear a sad story
Full of heartbreak and desire
The last time I felt like this
It was in the wilderness and the canyon was on fire
And I stood on the mountain in the night and I watched it burn
I watched it burn, I watched it burn.

I would rock my soul in the bosom of Abraham
I would hold my life in his saving grace.
I would walk all the way from Boulder to Birmingham
If I thought I could see, I could see your face.

Well you really got me this time
And the hardest part is knowing I'll survive.
I have come to listen for the sound
Of the trucks as they move down
Out on ninety five
And pretend that it's the ocean
coming down to wash me clean, to wash me clean
Baby do you know what I mean

I would rock my soul in the bosom of Abraham
I would hold my life in his saving grace.
I would walk all the way from Boulder to Birmingham
If I thought I could see, I could see your face.

SistaBluz sent me these four pix. Thanks Sis! When I talked to Brent last night, he said that he tried to read the GB and the Forum threads, but it was too hard for him. He may or may not check in here and see these, but regardless, I'm still going to print and frame at least some of what I get. I hope y'all have a few more, get 'em to me if'n ya do. Thanks,

Tom

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Prayers of comfort being said for the Sibley and Capps families. May time heal your pain and may your memories of Cindy remain gold.

As a close friend said to my wife after her father passed, "You don't get over it, but it does get better." Good wishes and prayers to you and your family.
